Help me decide what to do with my hair. Please!

I'm totally stressing about what color to dye my hair. I know so important right? I can't get anyone to give me an honest opinion, so I turn to my snarky d14 ladies!
My hair has been blonde for as long as I can remember. Dh loves it blonde. I have dark brown hair naturally, and I'm thinking I want to do something that will be slightly less maintenance. (I have about 6 in roots right now and is terrible.) So here's what I'm debating between. Thanks!

  • I like the 3rd.

  • I like the first a lot, but it might be the lighting.

However, with red, it is a lot of maintence. If you want less maintenance, you may want to go for more of a chestnut color... that wouldn't be as noticeable as your roots show.
  • Isn't red hair difficult to keep red (aka requires a lot of mainenance at the salon)?  I'd go for something darker with reddish highlights.
Married on October 20, 2012.  Began trying in January 2013.
RE appointment & testing December 2013 - February 2014= Unexplained IF, possible endometriosis
IUI#1- March 22 (100mg clomid, 75 mg of Bravelle, Ovidrel trigger) = BFP!!!

  • I think Selena Gomez's color would be the least maintenance.  I've done a similar color and the roots weren't that noticeable for my ashy brown color.

  • Very good points. Red is going to be just as much if not more maintenance. I guess I just don't want my roots to show as bad. The Selena Gomez one has been my favorite. I think all that is holding me back is dh thinks it's too dark. He liked the first one, but I'm afraid it will fade really fast and just look orange.

can you try a semi permanenet to see if you like it?  Or would that not work?

  • It might. I have done that before but it didn't last long at all. I figure I can always dye it again if I hate it. Or chop it all off. :)
  • I think I'm going to go for the third one. Then if the red fades out it will still at least be closer to my natural color, which is very dark brown. I honestly had forgotten what my natural color was! Thanks ladies! I probably will still change my mind 6 times between now and Saturday though!
  • I'd go back to your natural color and do whatever color highlights.

  • Having red hair myself, it is a pain to keep up. Definitely NOT a low-maintenance option. My hair has faded to my natural dark, strawberry blonde now due to the fact that I will not dye my hair while pregnant.
  • I like the Selena Gomez one the most!!!
  • Well I did it! I like it but I think it is going to take a while to grow on me! It's a big change! thanks for the advice ladies!
  • So cute! And I like how you styled it too :)

  • Looks great!
  • Thanks ladies! It is styled like that when I get up early enough to do it. Which lately is not very often. For the longest time my hair would hold nothing and did whatever it wanted. Now that I've been dying it for so long now it styles super easy. It's awesome.
  • The one on the far right
  • Omg! You must hate your baby! Hair dye is the devil. [-X

Looks cute. I went blonder and shorter a few weeks ago. Change is good.' Distracts from my fat ass and the fact that I can no longer see my privies.
