Just woke up at 345 am with the worst muscle cramp I ever imagined. It lasted for almost 10 mins. My shin was in terrible pain and my muscle was stuck flexed, I couldn't move it. This ever happen to anyone else? And suggestions?
Mine was 1:30 this morning! I have now been told by several people that during their pregnancies they would eat a banana before bed and it helped. I plan to stop at the grocery store on my way home from work today. I can't handle getting woken up like that again.
I had them so bad during my first pregnancy and was starting to get them during this one. Then I started taking magnesium (per my OB) for restless leg syndrome (another fun pregnancy thing) and the leg cramps went away. Hallelujah! Ask your doctor about a magnesium supplement.
Every. night. At around 4 in the morning. I wake up with a jolt of excruciating pain in my calf and I hop out of bed and around the room in the dark repeating ouch a million time till it subsides enough to jump back in bed and fall asleep again till it's time to get up. Unfortunately I can't complain to DH since he leaves for work at 3. He's only experienced this mornings cramp in which he woke up confused and terrified as to why I was hopping around the room on one leg almost in tears repeating ouch. He then massaged the cramp away.
