I've been curious about this, and wonder how much it varies by region.
So far, my girls have been the only "Grace" and "Evangeline" in their classes. Grace knew of another Grace back when she was in second grade, but she was in another grade.

@aeonlux - Yes it's really weird, you would think by 2000 people wouldn't be using those anymore.
On a side note, my husband actually suggested Amy as a girl name for us. Uhhh, no.

D14 November Siggy Challenge: The feels of 3rd trimester...
I teach elementary and I get a lot of aiden variations. Ayden, Aiden, Aden, Brayden, Kaiden, Jaiden, Caden, drayden, Hayden, etc. I usually get more unique girl names...a lot I've never heard until I meet the child actually!
My school is a k-8. I teach 7/8 and have a couple Emily/Emilly names, a couple of girls named Grace (which I have at least one of each year) and a few Alyssa/Alysa/Alissa variations. For boys, they are all pretty original and don't have any repeaters.
In the elementary, the upcoming trend seems to be Ava. There are 5 in k-1. There are also a lot of older names: Henry, Scarlet, Ruby, etc. I know this is the new trend, so it isn't surprising, I guess.
