Well this post is a week late but what can I say...I'm still excited. We had our 20 week A/S last Thursday. DH and I took our dd and even though she really had no clue what was going on she did seem interested for 3.8 seconds which seems to be the typical attention span of a toddler

We did really good with not peaking. Each time the tech needed to get down near baby's nether region she'd tell us to look away

I thought she was going to slip once when she started to say "little g...." That could have been little guy or little girl lol.
I love our OB office. I've read so many complaints from other mamas about their US tech not saying a word to them the entire scan. Both with dd and this baby the tech never shut up! Lol she told us every single thing she was checking, explained everything to us and was super sweet to my daughter and us. (Lots of compliments on our parenting

)
My biggest fear was that they'd find my amniotic fluid really low. I had such an incredibly difficult time keeping fluid down and with still nursing dd I thought for sure they'd tell me the levels were terrible. One of the first things out of her mouth was "wow!! Great amniotic fluid! You're doing great with your liquid intake" I was beaming lol.
I had to lay on both sides and she made me couch a few times to try and get baby to move at one point. She couldn't get the face shot she wanted but baby finally cooperated after she had me pee haha.
She told us that she doesn't put the sex (she said gender...which was annoying but she was older and amazing in every other way so I tried to ignore that) in the notes so even if we wanted to know we wouldn't be able to call back. That made me so happy bc I'm terrified someone will slip up.
Well....we go have our follow up with the OB and she says "I haven't looked yet so I don't know the sex but I'll highlight all over your chart that you don't want to know" huh? She did also warn us that she may say "he/she" at any given time but that it means absolutely nothing. She did say "she" a lot but my dd was there and the OB is pregnant so she may have just been used to the term.
Anyway. Super happy for a supper healthy baby
