When was your first appointment?

I called my doctor to schedule a first appointment yesterday. They put an order in for me to get blood work done but I couldn't get to the office before it closed because I had to meet a repair guy at my house (we just moved last weekend). The office is closed over the weekend so I will be going in on Monday. The nurse said she would schedule me for an appointment as soon as my numbers were over 6,000. In the meantime, my PGAL brain is working overtime second guessing all of my symptoms (or in some cases lack there of). I need to calm myself and remember that Doctor Google is not my friend. When did you have your first appointment with your doctor?

I had two betas then I have my first u/s at 6 weeks 6 days.

I had betas a 4w and again at 5w. The RE scheduled my first US when my betas went over 1,000. My initial US was at 6w6d.

I did betas just so they saw one set of doubling, then scheduled me for a 6w u/s but I opted for 6w4d because I think I oed late.

Thanks ladies. I was just curious. Does anyone remember how far along they were when their betas went above 6,000?

I just used the Pregnology calculator using my FF ovulation date and it looks like I am probably more like 4 weeks and one day along rather than 4 weeks an 5 days like I thought. It makes me feel better about having more subtle symptoms). It will also help me not to freak out if I see lower betas when I go in on Monday.

I had betas and progesterone levels right away and an us about a week after since levels were >2500 and he thought he'd be able to see on transvaginal us.

I had betas starting at 4 weeks and my first US is scheduled for when I will be 6 weeks, 6 days.

My RE gave me the option of 6 or 7 weeks, I opted to wait until 7 weeks so there's no question that there should be a heartbeat.

I did betas right at 4 weeks, then had my first u/s with the RE at 7 weeks. My first OB appointment and first u/s with them was at 8 weeks.

I had one beta at 4w5d which was 7000 or so. I then had my first apt at 7 weeks and my early US at 8 weeks. I was only going to get one early ultrasound, so I wanted to wait until I was sure there would be a HB. The wait was torture.

Also, congrats on your BFP!!!!! I must have missed your intro.

My RE had me come in right away at 15dpo to confirm pregnancy via beta/p4-1st beta was 50.6. Because I had history of an ectopic, I had my 1st u/s at 5wks4-beta was just under 3,000 that day. This was also my 1st exam, so I suppose it was technically my 1st appointment. At 6wks1, I had a 2nd u/s to check for growth/HB. Beta was around 11,500. My betas doubled nicely all along, but always seemed lower than the other ladies here, so my guess is by late 5-6th week, betas should be around 6,000.

Also-my only symptom this whole pregnancy has been heartburn. So far, all is well! Try not to read into what subtle synptoms could mean.

Betas at 4 weeks - then nothing til my u/s at 7w3d. It was a long wait. Hang in there!

I had betas and us at 4w 5d, which was my first appointment. They take me right away because of my loss history.

Mine was at 5 weeks but basically as soon as I called due to my history. I did not go in at 4 weeks to rule out a chemical but definitely wanted to be in at 5 weeks in case of ectopic pregnancy or something. I also already had progesterone and other standard meds at home which my doctor had given me permission to take from first day of positive pg test.

Betas were right away with my RE office and then my first ultrasound with them this pregnancy was at 6 weeks and 3 days I believe. There really isn't much to see on ultrasound before then and I imagine that is why she is looking for a certain beta number.

For my first rainbow, I had betas at 4 weeks and 4 weeks 2 days followed by an ultrasound at 5ish weeks. This time around, I had traditional blood work at 4 weeks and an ultrasound at 6.
