How are you feeling physically/emotionally?
I'm doing well. Realizing that I'm not in complete control has served me well.
Challenges/Successes? We moved LO to her crib this week. Therefore, we're back to nursing every two hours at night. Let's pray this passes quickly.
Cute/Funny stories? Elle loves the telephone. She was always fascinated by the tv speakers. Now she has a speaker that talks directly to her. She'll lean towards the phone and "talk".
QOTW- I never thought I would bed share. It has its advantages. Although it is encouraged by LLLI, we don't do it often.
10.5 weeks
Emotionally it's not much different than last week. LO is still having reflux problems and we've had to start thickening her formula. Because of this, I've decided to stop breastfeeding/pumping. It's been an emotional decision and I've made an appointment to see a counselor for this and some other stuff. I wish this wasn't so hard!
Challenges: reflux- we might have to go see a GI dr. She got an ultrasound of her stomach this week but thankfully everything came back ok.
Successes: DH changed his first poopy diaper and stayed home with her for the first time this week. It really makes me feel a lot better now that he feels more confident.
Stories- she is so close to laughing, I can't wait! She's very ticklish and loves to smile... Melts my heart! I love being a mommy.
QOTW: I don't think there was anything I said I absolutely wouldn't do, but I really didn't want to co- sleep because of how dangerous it can be. Those first few weeks before we knew about her protein intolerance and reflux and she was so miserable and was too uncomfortable to sleep on her back, it was the only way for both of us to get some rest. I tried to limit the times we slept in bed together, but we spent a lot if nights in the recliner.

How are you feeling physically/emotionally? Emotionally I am still a roller coaster. I am finally accepting that breast feeding isn't working out the way it should be so I'm up and down with how okay I am supplementing. Today I did it and cried the whole time, but I know LO is getting what he needs. Physically I feel pretty great.
Challenges/Successes?
Cute/Funny stories? Z started smiling a lot last week.

How are you feeling physically/emotionally?
Physically I am doing ok
Emotionally I was super upset. Had to change jobs and with this I had to go back to work a month earlier than I planned.
Challenges/Successes?
Pumping. I don't produce a lot of milk maybe 3 ounces per session. Found out I have d congenital deformity with my boobs. They are tubular. Meaning they never grew when I was an adolescent. I always thought I was small chested. Lactation consultant said I might not be able to breast feed. So far have been for 3 months. Only supplement with formula when I am at work hubby might but not a lot will mix w bm.
I am now working at an animal ER so pumping is when there are no emergencies. Sometimes I can pump twice sometimes once I work 5- midnight. Once I couldn't pump at all. So upset with that.
Cute/Funny stories?
In the morning when she wakes up around 630-7 I will say good morning to her and I get this huge smile. She never cries when she wakes up. Love seeing that big smile in the morning especially when I am so tired from getting to bed at 2 am
QOTW- FTMs- have you done anything yet that you said you would never do or thought you would never do?
I always said I would never bring a baby to our local fair. Ha well twice I did. Such a hypocrit I am.
New QOTW- SUMMER is winding down. Any last hurrah Sumner plans
