Cloth pads / mama cloth (post partum)

I figured that this might be a good place to ask about cloth pads. I'm new to this board so I'm not sure if it's been asked or not.
Anyway, any mamas used cloth pads / mama cloth for post partum? I couldn't handle the regular disposables (rubbing and sticking to c section staples). I used lunapads last time but I'm curious about the fuzzibunz pads and charlie banana pads. They are great prices!
Also cb cloth breast pads anyone?
Thanks!

  • I'm going to have to order some!

  • I've seen a number of people that have used infant prefolds for the postpartum.
  • Oh interesting! I would worry about them falling out though?
  • I would be more worried about soaking through. Don't most cloth pads have a PUL backing?

After a c/s I hope someone will be helping you with your toddler. If you trifold a prefold you shouldn't have problems with it falling out.

I used preemie prefolds. If I had it to do over again I would order some real cloth pads. The prefolds were fine and way better than disposable pads that really irritated me. I did occasionally spot through though because they shifted or if I had a big gush they couldn't keep up. I mostly used them at home and would use a disposable when I occasionally went out.
