I'd definitely check in with the CD board. They're very helpful! I briefly looked at g diapers, but for the cost, it seemed worth it to just go for full cloth diapering. I don't think they save you all that much effort. But I've never used them.

I've never used them personally, but general consensus in the CDing world is they aren't the best. The biggest drawback for me is it's a 3 part system instead of just 2. The outermost layer isn't waterproof. You have to use a snap in liner piece in addition to your insert. Just seems like an unnecessary added step and extra expense.

I used nb and sm gdiapers on DS and did not like them. DH wanted a disposable option but the fit was never great, they leaked, more pieces to wash and the disposable inserts were more expensive than disposable diapers. Once I switched to full on cloth diapers DH asked why we didn't start with them in the first place. I about killed him.
They're the best of the disposable options and worst of the cloth options. Like other said, check out the cloth diapering board. Those ladies are very helpful!!
