What size should I get for a bridesmaid dress for my friends wedding?

The wedding is in May of 2015 and we are going on September 14th to try on and order them. This is early for me since my son is 12 weeks and I still have a lot of baby weight to lose.
I went from a size 2- 10 in bridesmaid dresses (was in a wedding right before pregnancy). went from a 2-8 in jeans. I gained 50lbs while pregnant and lost 30 right away, but the other 20 has been tough so far.
What would you do if you were me? Here is a picture of the dress.

I'd get a snuggly fitting, but fitting dress now. You can always have it taken in later.

I'd probably get a size 8 now and know that it can always be taken-in. I think getting the size 8 will give you the motivation you need to lose some of the pp weight - that's my thinking at least.

Can you order later? I see the dress is from DB. It shouldn't take very long to get it. Lots if alterations can equal the price if the dress.

As long as they don't discontinue it, that should be fine. I added a bridesmaid months after the others and it was no problem getting her a DB dress. They run pretty true to size also.

I was really concerned about paying an arm and a leg for alterations because I heard they can get expensive.
I am comfortable with seeing how the 10 fits again(since I tried it on a month ago) and then possibly do a 10 or an 8.
Thanks for your opinions. I was hoping if have a couple more months before ordering, but I guess not.

@adventurebarbie‌ same problem here, but I'm not that much bigger. Went up a couple cup sizes, but my stomach doesn't want to flatten out too much either:( I figure the people there will give me there opinion, but I just wanted to go in prepared.
