NBR: 7 layer dip question

Tomorrow is DS1's b-day party and we are having a number 7 theme (how is he seven already?!?) as a result we are serving 7 theme foods. I have never made it before and have no idea what type of dish or bowl to use. I have a trifle bowl, should I use that so you can see all the layers? Or would that be too tall to reach into? Is a 9x11 baking dish the best option? 

If you've made 7 layer dip before, what has worked best for you? Thx!

    I would use a glass baking pan if you have one. I think the trifle bowl is too deep. I have done it in a deep pie dish before too.

    Ditto on the glass baking pan. I often see it in a 9x13, but I usually make it in a 8x8 or 9x9 pan.

    Three TI cycles (BFP...miscarriage), five IUI attempts and 2.5 IVF cycles later...BFP!!
    12dp5dt: 765; 15dp5dt: 1979; 17dp5dt: 3379...TWINS!!!!!
    Our perfect baby boys were born at 36w1d!!

    I usually use a glass pie dish or square glass baking dish, too.

    I was going to say a pie pan or a 9x13 glass dish. 7 layer dip is so yummy!

    Nov. 2013: IUI #1 Letrozole + Ovidrel = BFN
    Dec. 2013: IUI #2 Letrozole + Ovidrel= BFP on 1/8/2014 !! EDD 9/17/2014
    Beta #1 (12 dpo): HCG 27, Progesterone 15 (starting on supplements)
    Beta #2 (15 dpo): HCG 297, Progesterone 29
    Beta #3 (17 dpo): HCG 667, Progesterone 34
    1st Ultrasound 1/28 (6 weeks + 1) Baby measuring exactly as it should, HB 118!
    2nd Ultrasound 2/5 Baby measuring 7w4d, HB 133. Everything looks perfect!
    3rd Ultrasound 4/29 (A/S) Our Baby BOY is measuring perfectly and everything looked great! HB160
    Diagnosed with Pre-E at 36 weeks, placed on bed rest, induction schedule for 37 weeks.
