Pumping at football games

Yup, you read the heading right.  I'm trying to figure out how the heck to deal with the logistics of pumping at Friday night football games.

I'm a band director/color guard director, and my son will be between 10 weeks and 20 weeks during this football season.  His dad is awesome and will be taking care of him while I'm at games and contests, but I need to figure out where/when to pump.  I have a battery pack for my pump, but my biggest issue is I really don't like the idea of pumping in a stadium bathroom.  I'm an assistant director, so hypothetically when it comes time to pump I can slip away for 20-30 minutes without too many issues.

Any band directors/coaches/teachers out there who can weigh in with their advice?

Thanks!

  • Can you take your car to the games?
  • I would probably pump in my car.

  • Thanks everyone for all of the suggestions! Normally I have to ride the bus, but I'll see if I can get my head director to let me drive to away games at least. Maria, that's a good idea! I'm in Texas, which is the home of the oversized high school stadium. Even if I have to use a bathroom in the press box to pump, it will be infinitely cleaner than the regular bathrooms! The games themselves aren't too long; they average 3, 3 1/2 hours in length. It's the band director part of it that takes forever. Meeting kids at the school, traveling to the stadium, warming up, etc. For us and the coaches, the time involved is closer to six or seven hours. Thanks again for the ideas everyone!
