I have no idea. It's the end of the week so my food supplies have dwindled. It will be whatever I can scrounge out of the fridge and pantry. Maybe I should just talk my Mom into taking me out to dinner...
The Melting Pot!
Hiring a babysitter and going out for an anniversary date \:D/
I have randomly been craving The Melting Pot all dayyyyy. But we moved in January and don't live close to one anymore. Please report back on how it was so I can live vicariously through you. Also - happy anniversary
Homemade sauce and meatballs, italian sausages and pasta... The DH did some cooking last night! Parents are coming over tonight and we are going to share the news!
Probably chicken skewers wrapped in bacon with mango sauce for dipping and homemade sweet potato fries. Assuming I have this level of energy after coaching tonight.
Can you still eat lunch meat during pregnancy? I could so got for a nice baguette right now
@gemsie94 There are mixed reviews on it. Some say yes, some say yes as long as it's heated and some flat out say no. I asked my dr and he advised me that if I want a sandwich from like subway for example, to go to a busy one because the meat isn't just sitting all day or go to a reputable grocery store deli but to stay away from the prepackaged ones that are pre sliced in the fridge area. When in doubt ask your dr
I'm going to a zoo event where there will be food trucks. I'm thinking a fancy grilled cheese and an ice cream sandwich. Our admission also includes two drink tickets :'(
I feel so guilty because I love to cook for my family but the last two weeks, I have zero energy at that time of day and nauseaus more days than not so the mere thought of cooking makes me want to gag. I am so emotional about it to-the other night I cried like a baby bc my 2 year old had cookies and chips for dinner!

Do you have a crockpot?? If so, I recommend making several crockpot meals on Sunday (or whatever day of the week works best for you) and then just stick them in the freezer in ziploc bags until the day you need them. That has helped me tremendously!
Trying to do some stuff on a Sunday afternoon is helpful too. Make a batch of meatballs to freeze. Grill up a bunch of proteins you can use for salads. A batch of shredded chicken which you can use for tacos or a casserole or chicken pot pie. This past weekend I make some food for a friend's birthday (she hates cooking) and I made enough that I could freeze an equal amount for myself. Not additional work.
I've also started making one pot meals. Budget bytes had some good recipes. Italian wonder pot, one pot beef stroganoff.
I think meal planning helps. If you know what you need to have prepped and ready it makes things quicker and easier.
We have pork chops defrosting and thinking of them makes me want to be sick, so we will see how that goes. Not to mention that I have no idea how I want to fix them. Wahhhh.... @saltbox40, can I just join you at chipotle? It's my favorite!

What I really want is pizza with arugula on top from the new place in our neighborhood. Sad panda.
Lobster straight off the boat!
