Guess I have to de-lurk (un-lurk?) now...

Hi all!

I've been lurkin g for awhile and have posted three times thinking I was posting on other boards so it is time to de-lurk, I suppose :)

I'm Connie, married with 2 crazy boys and am a west coast transplant to the South.

My husband works crazy hours so it's often just the boys and I. I love to cook, craft and watch ridiculous reality TV when I have the chance. I used to read but DS2 likes to grab my kindle and drop it or if I'm actually reading a real book, he tries to eat it.

I also hate dandelions and love wine :)

William Daryll born at 9:59am on 05/29/13. Left ovary and tube removed due to peach sized tumor found during RCS. Pathology came back benign!

    I was a fan of leggings as pants when pregnant but I always made sure my butt was covered. Now my leggings are strictly pajamas.

    I do love pouches, I'm Pro-whatever ittakestogetmykidtoeatveggies.

    I didn't realize sneakers with jeans was bad until this board. Sadly, any fashion sense I may have had disappeared long ago. I do wear sneakers with jeans but generally only when walking to school to get Jack (it's a mile round trip, I'm not doing that in heels!).

    Also, and perhaps this should go in FFFC, I own croc flip flops . Hey, I have bad arches and they are comfy!

    I am meh on the ice bucket challenge. I think it's great that such a terrible disease is getting some much needed attention and funding but I think the videos are pretty AWy.

    Hi and welcome!

    I regularly wear sneakers with jeans too (though they're Skechers, not the big white kind), and I only wish DS would eat a pouch if it meant he'd be getting some veggies.

    Wait, wait, wait, I guess I missed the memo?  What's wrong with sneakers and jeans?  I wear gym shoes as we call them in Chicago and jeans regularly...what am I doing wrong?  Am I the mockery of the park and just don't know it?!

    I crochet, and am learning how to sew/quilt. Its a work in progress.

    I'm also planning on starting some needlepoint or cross stitching. I've done both in the past and thought I'd make DH a naughty cross stitch for Christmas. Something that looks all nice and sweet, like a sampler where you put in your last name and then says "Taint" or "Balls" instead. He'd get a kick out of putting it in the man cave.

    ETA: Last year, I crocheted him a ball kozee so I need to continue the tradition :-)
