With the new board done (Trouble TTC a sibling) we should decide what we want to do with our check-in so our QOTW is a clicky poll.
Welcome to the TTC a Rainbow Sibling check-in. This check-in is a for TTCAL-ers with living children to talk about the issues about TTCAL while you have a living child. Living children and pictures of living children are welcome here, however if your pictured child is an infant (< a year old), please do place a warning at the beginning of your post to alert ladies who are having a hard day. You do not have to be active on the PAL board in order to be a member of this check-in, however, if you plan on posting on the main board please post an intro there.
All are welcome to join us! Please give us an intro with the following information if you wish: name(s)/age(s) of your child(ren), EDD(s) and where you are in your TTC journey.
If you get a BFP please send @Nieko0423 a private PM so I can add you to our graduates list.
My week has finally gotten a little better. Harley is doing much better so I can go back to focusing on me. I got CH late last week so I know AF post loss is finally approaching, however with it is an increase appetite for everything I should not eat. I'm hoping to have a fun weekend with my brother, SIL and niece in town.
Hi Nieko, thanks for the check-in. I've been checking out the new board and looking forward to things picking up over there once more people discover it.
Not much to report here. Still TTA and on hormone therapy after my surgery. But I've been feeling pretty good physically without many side effects. The insomnia I had while I was on the Doxycycline anibiotic went away after I stopped taking it. Yay for sleep!
Hi ladies! Finally I can participate in a check-in on the actual day the check-in is created. Hallelujah!
Anyway, today is CD14 for me. On Monday I had an RE appt to check follies and I had two very mature follies, one on the left and one on the right and my lining looked great. I was definitely happy about that! I took Femara CD4-8 and i've been using opk's to detect ovulation and to time intercourse. It has been going well except last night I had to wake up DH to BD since he had fallen asleep early. FF put today as my O day so I think our timing is good. We'll continue to BD over the next couple days.
I'm happy to have the new board, but because it includes those trying for a sibling who have never had a loss, can we still have a check-in for those who have experienced losses while having TTFAS?
Nieko I’m so glad your week is going better and Harley is well! I say eat something you’re craving this weekend! You deserve it!
@bookishmomma - I’m so glad you’re feeling ok and getting lots of sleep! Can’t wait to check out the new board.
@sarcaztic10 - Such great news for you this cycle! FX. Hooray for a free pay day!
@michieu79 - Oh geez! The canines were the absolute worst for us! Praying he feels better soon. I hear you on the Wondfos. After 4 bfps this year, I’ll be sticking with the Dollar Tree tests from now on. They always gave me the earliest +!
@kj808 - Haha same here! I get so overwhelmed when I’m late! I’m so glad your cycle is looking good so far! Have fun HIO!

Agreed! I have had + at 8 dpo on Dollar Tree. I also used Dollar Tree tests when my betas were being tracked down to 0, to help me minimize the number of times I had to go in for blood draws. I was still getting faint + on Dollar Tree when my beta was 7 that same day.
Also, GoldenGirl, 4 BFPs? I thought you had 3 losses this year... I hope I didn't miss something!
I had the weirdest cycle ever. The doctor told me I wouldn't ovulate at my cd 17 monitoring. The I got a nearly + opk on Saturday, came down with a fever on Monday and still have it, so I really have no idea if or when I ovulated. I called him today and he said to go ahead and start progesterone. I meet with him on September 2nd to either discuss a BFP or plans for next cycle. I feel like all the stress I've been under lately caused me to ovulate late. I'm looking into acupuncture and have been going on walks every day, as well as working hard to keep up on all my tasks so I don't feel overwhelmed. I've been feeling pretty good about everything lately. Ward has been such a handful--sweet as can be, but definitely needs to be entertained 24/7.

Thanks for the check-in @Nieko0423. I am all for moving this check in to the new board. The only reason I come here anymore is for this check in. I don't click on any of the BPF anymore because it is just too painful right now. And that's pretty much the majority of what this board seems to be right now.
AFM: This was all in the Multiple Loss check-in on TTCAL but we had a visit with a second RE Tuesday and she pretty much said she would have us go to IVF with PGD right now. DH isn't ready for that yet though and we need to switch me onto DH's insurance in January before we would do IVF anyway. So we are continuing with the plan of trying once more on our own probably in November-December-ish and moving onto IVF with PGD if that go round ends in a loss. I'm starting to look more and more forward to my first acupuncture appt. on 9/4. And I'm dropping down to 32 hours a week starting 9/1 so I will have Thursdays off. Looking forward to taking some "me" time.
ellebelle2384 reduced hours sounds fabulous. Hope it does you some good!
Not much happening here. I think Nieko asked about what the reno was last week and I forgot to answer. It's a master bath with closets and powder room. We have siding up and windows. So progress! We were planning to take the front off of DS crib and do the big boy room with new bedding etc for his birthday in a couple weeks, but he climbed out of the crib for the first time a couple days in the row. I've asked him to call us, because he can get hurt doing it, so hopefully he listens and we can keep with the plan.

I write these things so fast and always make mistakes! I meant 3. Sorry! You're quick BM!

So I think we probably have the majority of those who will be voting and the concensus seems to be to move the check-in. I already let them know over TTFAS that I was going to do our check-in over there next week. I also noted, since it is a new board and we may get other/new members to the check-in that I did not have to stay in charge if someone else wanted to do it.
Anyways sorry I am late on my updates with you ladies, I had a busy day yesterday.
@BookishMomma I'm glad your insomnia stopped. My DH and his family suffer from it from time to time and it is awful! How much longer do you have to be on the hormones (if you mentioned before I can't find it)
@sarcaztic10 my fingers are crossed that you O soon and that this is your cycle!
@MichieU79 I hope your little guys starts feeling better. That's gotta be rough! I hope AF doesn't make you wait much longer.
@kj808 I have my fingers crossed that your timing is great this cycle. Like I posted above I will at least start doing the AL check-in there starting next week.
@goldengirl84 I'm so sorry your cycle has been so weird. I am hoping so hard that your timing was good enough that you'll be discussing a BFP soon with your RE. Also, good on your RE to have you take the progesterone. After your check-in last week it sounded like your RE was just giving up on this cycle already.
@ellebelle2384 I'm sorry you couldn't get a better answer the second time. Hopefully knowing the plan going forward will relax you enough that maybe you and YH trying on your own in November lets it just happen on its own!
@littlecookie Your reno sounds great! We just moved into our new house in the end of December and it was a "flipped" house so we already had a redone kitchen/dining room, redone bathrooms and a finished basement. Our big project when we get to it is to level and tier our back yard. It's going to be quite a project!
I'm thinking our check-in title on TTFAS should be changed considering our current title is almost the name of the board. I'm thinking something like "Looking for Rainbows" or maybe just "AL Check-in". Let me know what you think.
@BookishMomma I'm glad your insomnia stopped. My DH and his family suffer from it from time to time and it is awful! How much longer do you have to be on the hormones (if you mentioned before I can't find it)
I'm on day 12 of a 25 day course of meds--estrogen (Premarin) for all 25 days, and progesterone for the last 10 days of that. So I'm about halfway done! Then I have a break cycle where we have to TTA, then IUI cycle. Woot woot!

@sarcaztic10 yay for a mature follie and a great lining. GL this cycle!
@BookishMomma i'm glad you're able to get some sleep again. Insomnia is so frustrating!
@Nieko0423 hope you have a great weekend with your brother and his family!
