Nice and supple...

What are you choosing to rub into your belly to keep your stretched out skin soft and hopefully free of stretch marks (though genetics plays the biggest role)? I started using Pure Fiji Body Butter, and it is glorious. It has excellent reviews on Amazon. Smells awesome, too!

Re: Nice and supple...

  • I was using Palmers cocoa butter from the tub, until I started having something similar to an allergic reaction to it. Now I'm using Aveeno overnight formula which works pretty well at keeping the itchies at bay.

  • Generic brand baby oil. I love it.

  • Coconut oil is awesome. I like using it in my hair, and used it before I bleached the ends of my hair. No damage and it was soft and silky.

  • I am kinda obsessed with Lush's Sympathy for the Skin. It smells like banana pudding and it absorbs really well so I am not greasy feeling. I just want to swim in it. Lol!
  • I used motherlove belly salve. It is greasy which takes a little getting used to but has a 0 chemical rating.

  • I'm using straight vitamin E oil. It's really sticky so I do it at night before bed. I used it with the last 3 pregnancies an not a single pregnancy stretch mark. It worked for my sister with her 3 and a couple of girl friends too.
  • I've been using Wild Carrot Herbals Stretch Salve and Growing Belly Balm.  I love it!  It has a nice, light herbal scent and really helps my tummy not itch so much.

    Me: 34 - PCOS | DH: 30 - everything looks good!

  • I used motherlove belly salve. It is greasy which takes a little getting used to but has a 0 chemical rating.

  • Kiehl's Creme de Corps - I LOVE that stuff. I tried to kick the habit once, bc it is crazy expensive, but after a couple weeks of using Palmer's instead, I could tell my skin was drier and subsequently, crappier.

  • I love Palmers Cocoa Butter. I started using it my first pregnancy and have continued ever since then. It's thick but not greasy and smells good but isn't over powering. No stretch marks with two kids.....let's see if we make it to three!!
  • This thread just reminded me to use baby oil. I have it but I keep forgetting to apply it. Thanks for the reminder!

  • I like coconut oil because it makes me smell like a piña colatta. I use j&j baby oil on my whole body while my skin is wet regularly anyway. But I've added coconut oil lathered on my belly. Mmm. My towels smell amazing.

  • Just plain old coconut oil here!  My mom and grandma both got a lot of very large stretch marks, and since I don't have any yet, I keep thinking I'll be seeing some doozies pop up in the next few weeks. :(

  • Palmer's! What woman can resist smelling like cocoa AND being soft?
