Frequent yeast infection or uti

I am currently 5 months and off/on the entire 5 months I've had either a yeast infection or uti. Anyone have any similar issues or suggestions. This is my second baby fyi

  • Find your local natural grocery store and get a probiotic ASAP!! Get a multi-strain product that has to be refrigerated. Also pick up some cranberry tablets. Take both every day and drink drink drink water!!

I swear it will change your life (or at least make your woman parts a whole lot happier!).

  • I had this happen in my first pregnancy that ended in m/c (not a result of the YI, don't worry)!! Some people are just more prone to them than others. I am one of those people. Anyway, I have been using this cream prescribed to me by my OB that contains an antifungal component and havent had one this whole pregnancy. Its called clotrimazole and betamethasone dipropionate cream. I think it also contains a mild steroid but it is safe during pregnancy and is only applied on outer skin. If your YI are recurrent, ask your doc about it. The only thing is its preventative so if you have one currently it won't do much for you. Good luck!!!
Married my best friend 7/2/11 - Furbaby born 7/9/11 and brought into our home 9/1/11

BFP#1:   2/2/13 ~ exact m/c date unknown but around 3/20 at 10 weeks ~ diagnosed with PMP ~ D&C on 4/5 ~ TTA for at least 1 year due to PMP ~ cleared to TTC 1/14

    BFP#2:   2/7/14 ~ m/c 2/20/14 ~ possibly due to chemical pregnancy ~ TG no D&C is needed

Surprise BFP#3:  4/4/14 ~ super duper extra happy (and nervous) about this one - EDD 12/9/14!!!

John Joseph was born on 12/12/14 at 7 lbs. 11 oz.  He is the most beautiful rainbow baby we could have wished for!

Did your doc recommend a certain brand of probiotic?

No he just said the standard probiotic at the store. What I soon realized was the different types.
  • I like ReNew Life brand. I use their FloraBaby powder for my kiddos and take one of the adult multistrain capsules when I am having yeast/uti/digestive issues.
