Anyone else have a sneaky baby?

I am 23 weeks and my little boy moves like crazy until daddy tries to feel him move and then he will completely stop. It is really frustrating to him and I wondered if anyone else was experiencing this and if you think it's as funny as I do.

  • All the time.

  • Yes. That happened several times with us. DH actually felt him for the first time last night :-)

  • I try to tell my hubby that he soothes the baby, but I always end up laughing because it's just hilarious to me!

  • Happens to us too! I try and reassure my hubby that it's just because the little guy finds him so soothing ;)

This is what I do too! Dh hasn't felt her yet and I feel bad, but I think it's hilarious!
  • I'm glad to know I'm not the only one. Lol I was starting to feel like a bad person. Haha

  • It literally just happened and I gave up and opened TB, ha!
  • Yep. I feel so bad for DH! He thinks I'm making it up when I say she's going crazy in there bc he can't ever feel her. Poor guy!

  • I am 25 weeks and am the only one who has felt her! There is still three months for him to get a chance!
  • This happens with my mother all the time!! She'll be so active and then when my mom will try and feel she'll stop completely and start up again when my mom stops touching my belly. I always joke that it's because the baby knows she had wanted a boy. :))

  • YES! DH got to feel LO early on at like 18 or 19 weeks. But hasn't since then. I feel so bad because LO will be kicking away and I call DH to come feel but then....nothing!!
Oh well. DH is content to wait a few more weeks for some good kicks

  • I am the complete opposite!! She goes crazy when her daddy touches my belly! I swear it's like she knows that it's him!
  • The baby stops when my DH puts his hands on my belly--he's felt kicks a few times but is now reluctant to try because he thinks the baby doesn't like it and that's why it's kicking. Very circular logic and quite endearing.

  • I got on my side and just made DH keep his hand there. Eventually he felt some kicks, otherwise the baby will always stop as soon as someone tries to feel him.
  • Yes! Haha, our baby girl kicks so much and everytime he puts his hands on my belly to feel her she completely stops so he waits for a couple minutes and then he moves his hands from my belly and I'm like "she kicked again, you missed it"

Hah yep mine does that too. Every time I put my husband's hand on my belly he stops kicking. He also doesn't respond when I poke at him, and likes to kick a lot during meetings. Like he knows my mind isn't 100% on him at that moment, so he will make his presence known. He seems defiant already.

My boy does the same thing. I can feel him like crazy but once I put my hands on my tummy, he stops.
  • DH sat with his hand on my belly for 30 minutes the other night. I had felt a ton of kicks right before that's why I told him to feel. He kept saying "I don't feel anything". Then finally felt ONE kick.
  • My LO is bouncing around in there right now, and daddy had a late shift at work. :/

I think my little boy will like to try to play tricks on his daddy.
