What's the deal with Q-Caps?

Not to get all Seinfeld with the title there, but does anyone use these with Menopur? I started stims tonight and thought maybe I'd change it up and use the Q-Cap vs a 22G needle to reconstitute (that's my idea of excitement these days) but it seemed hard so I reverted to my old ways. Can you reconstitute multiple powder vials with one Q-Cap? Are they easier to use?

    I've always used the Q-caps, because that's just what the nurse who trained me taught me to do. I've never found it hard, but I've never done it any other way, either. I pop on a Q-cap, draw up the liquid, squirt it into vial one, draw back out, squirt into vial two, draw back out, and then discard the q-cap.

    19-year history of endometriosis. Multiple surgeries and cyst removals. Forced directly into IVF due to blocked tubes and severe adhesions.
    IVF w/ICSI and CCS #1 - Dec 2013 - Only 1 normal. Ended in CP
    IVF w/ICSI and CCS #2, at CCRM - March 2014!
    14R, 12 ICSI'd, 11F, 6 for CCS, 5 healthy blasts frozen!
    Two 5BB blasts transferred 9/10; First beta 9/19: 109; second beta 9/22: 550!
    EDD: 5/29/15

    I used the Q cap for my menopur. It took a couple times to get used to pushing it on hard enough/holding the top of the syringe in itremoving it to the next bottle, but I didn't find it anymore difficult that needles.

    I always used them but I only had to do one vial for my dose( though I'm sure you can use one for multiple powder vials).  I don't know that it's any easier really, I think it's up to you.  As long as you're able to keep the needle in the med and not pull in air, you're good to go.  

    don't you hate injecting menopur?   I do not miss that med at all.

    Yes @kittenmittens9‌ the Menopur, it burns. Although I think I hate the taste in my mouth that shows up right after injecting 450iu of Gonal-F more!

    I do think they make it easier, especially with multiple vials.

    @Scooteriste - Love it! Too bad you can't change your Bump name, too!

    To all: Remember! Let the Menopur sit for 10 minutes before injecting. No burn. :)

    @Hoping4LO‌ I'll have to do some googling tomorrow. Im sure that most animals have eaten trash at one point or another so we may be able to make this happen. @pblge I wonder if "hormonallyimbalancedraccoon" is an available bump name.

    Also, while we're on the subject of Menopur... I have to go to a wedding :-| on Saturday. Can I draw up the Menopur and bring it pre-mixed in a syringe or is there a time limit for that? I'd like to not look like an insane bathroom drug user if possible. If I have to mix then I'll make sure to really cause a scene.

    Good point. I may just take it later and use that as our excuse to leave the wedding early. And aww to trash dog. It's hard to stay mad at them too long.

    I (or I should say my DH) used the QCaps for mixing the menopur. It just seemed easier but it's probably not that big of a difference. For the last few days I was up to 3 powders for 1cc of liquid and the QCap worded just fine

    January & February: 2 IUIs, BFN
    March:  IUI, ectopic, 2 surgeries with 1 tube removed
    May - July: 3 more IUIs, all BFN, on to IVF
    August: IVF#1, BFN
    September:  FET#1, BFP!!!
    It's a girl!!!
