An Intro! Newb Alert!

Hi everyone,

This is my first time posting in a pregnancy forum at all, although I've been lurking for a little while. I'm just on the cusp of fitting into this category I guess - I just turned 35 a couple of months ago. For the last few months my boyfriend and I have been NTNP, but kicked into full-on TTC this month. I'm trying not to get too caught up in it all, but it's a struggle to remain calm - patience is not my strong suit, let's say. I haven't used an OPK or tracked temperature thus far. I try to track CM somehwat, but we're basically just trying to get busy every 2 days, especially just about now (about 2 weeks before AF).

If we don't succeed this month (the first month we've really been actively trying), I think I'll invest in the OPK, since I'm only going on the cycle of the "average woman," and who knows how much she and I have in common? :)

It's on my mind a lot (even though I'm concurrently excited and scared), and I'm hoping my anxiety won't undo my efforts. I haven't told any friends and family that we're TTC, so an online outlet will probably be helpful for support, advice, and just general venting.

    December 2014: IVF #1.  Microdose Lupron protocol.  9R, 9M, 9F.  3 5-day blasts transferred 12/15. BFFN.
    April 2015: IVF #2.  Microdose Lupron protocol.  16R, 15M, 12F. Transferred 2 5-day blasts 4/12 and froze 4--BFP!  M/C 5/25/15
    August 2015: IVF #3.  14R, 13M, 11F.  Froze 5 blasts for CCS testing.  3 normals.  FET planned for 10/2015.

    7/2013 - Sweet baby girl born (Clomid + TI)
    3/2014 - TTC #2, return to RE 7/2014
    12/2015: IVF #1 transferred two great looking embryos - BFP!
    First ultrasound: TWO beautiful little heartbeats!!
    Harmony: negative; level 2: babies look great and are boy/girl! :)

    Thanks everybody! I'm trying not to get too high-strung about the whole thing, but it can be hard! I know intellectually that it's not super likely that this month will be the month, but I don't think that's going to change the disappointment I'll feel when I see AF or that BFN...

    Welcome, get a basal body thermometer and use the fertility friendly app for charting. Trust me you will learn a lot about your cycles. Anyway good luck to you in your TTC journey

    Welcome, I feel the same way! Trying not to be too focused on it...know it might take time...not charting or temping. But still feeling twinges of crazy from time to time! I hope you have great luck!

    I relate very much to how you're feeling.  We are actively TTC#2, and this month is our first trying after IUD removal at the end of July!

    Welcome to the group and best of luck for a very fast BFP!  Who says you won't get pregnant right out of the blocks?!?  Someone has to be THAT person, so why not the both of us?.  ;)
