Talk to me if you had one- today's ultrasound showed baby to be transverse, the little shit ( Version a week from tomorrow if no change by next Thursday's appointment.
I never had one but I heard they can be painful and LO may flip back. I was going to do one if LO was breech. Have you check out spinning babies (spinningbabies.com)? It is a website with some exercises you can do to help turn LO. I know it sucks when LO is breech but stay positive. One of the moms in my childbirth class had a breech baby. It turned at 37 weeks (she felt lots of cramping and though she was in labor, went to bed and things fizzled out. At her next appointment the MW said LO had flipped and she figured that it was that night she felt so bad).
I'm not a fan of the spinning babies thing. I had a c/s due to a breach baby, it was fine. The OB said manually turning may be incredibly painful, somewhat dangerous, and no guarantee of success.
My BFF was breach until the day of her scheduled c/s. They put the IV fluids in and she felt the baby flip. They did an u/s and sure enough, baby flipped on her own. They sent her home to deliver on her own.
TLDR: baby can flip at the last second and trying to flip them other ways can he dangerous, painful, and not work in the long run.
I had a c-section because of Henry being transverse. I tried the spinning babies and I couldnt tolerate the position. I didnt want to risk the dangers of them manually trying to turn him. I also have a septum in my uterus is why Henry and now DS2 is transverse. It maybe easier for you to get your LO to flip than mine. Good luck!
Both my girls were breech, but I also have a septum in my uterus. My OB highly recommends against versions because they can be dangerous for mom and baby. She is a firm believer that if a baby stays breech there may be a reason for it.
Hope you lo flips soon! If not, a c/s is not as bad as you probably imagine.
My OB is optimistic that a Version could work for me, and I trust her completely. I know a C/S wouldn't be the end of the world BUT I was really hoping to avoid C/S #2 because that means I always have to have them going forward and I almost certainly want at least one more kid, so what I'm really trying to avoid is C/S #3, #4, etc. ~X(

Hope you lo flips soon! If not, a c/s is not as bad as you probably imagine.
