I took a pretty nasty fall today getting off the work shuttle. Idiot driver lowers the doorway AS I'm stepping off it!!! So of course I fall out and onto the ground, I took most of the impact sideways onto my purse not straight down and forward.
Went to triage and they monitored me for a bit and baby. No contractions no bleeding (other than my normal bleeding) and have since been discharged. But now I just feel like I'm walking on MORE eggshells, and every ache seems extreme and more worrisome, anyone ever experience a fall during pregnancy?

Re: Took a fall today
I was carrying my first over a baby gate when I was about 30wks pregnant with my second. My foot caught the gate and I went down hard. Luckily both boys were ok, but I was sore for a few days.
I also got dizzy and kind of slid down the stairs about a month ago. Fun stuff.

I was in a car accident Monday and went to the ER. The EMS and the doc both told me at this stage, baby is typically fine because they are so well cushioned in there. They said that accidents and falls, moms take most of the force of impact and baby doesn't feel anything. It made me feel a lot better to hear that, so I hope that helps you to relax a bit too
