Do you sleep with a bra on?

I've been told to sleep with a bra on while pregnant from a few people. Do you? If so, when did you start? Just a sportsbra?

Re: Do you sleep with a bra on?

  • Not during pregnancy, but for sure postpartum. Especially to hold nursing pads in place.

  • Boobs are always holstered. My husband likes to try and set them free. Even if I just wear a nursing bra to bed. I need support or I can't sleep.
  • Sleep with a bra on?!?! I don't understand what you mean...boobies are meant to me free woman

  • I always freed them before, but now they're so sore and need the support.  It hurts badly to go without a bra now, so I wear a sports bra to bed.

  • I'm not wearing a bra to bed yet... But I will when they get bigger. I was also told that it is a good thing because it will help to keep your boobs from sagging after the pregnancy.... But who knows!
  • I used to go braless... Then I had a child. I wear a bra at all times, because those bad boys are saggy and huge, if I let them run free they will be EVERYWHERE.
  • I take my bra off as soon as I walk in the door from work.
This isn't me everyday, but it does happen a lot. I never sleep with a bra on.

I hate to say it, but from my understanding only the help of a surgeon will do that. But, maybe I am wrong. I was one of the braless after all.

  • I have been wearing nursing tanks with a shelf bra in them to sleep since I had my daughter.  I wear them because they are comfy to sleep in.

  • Nope, I let them go free!  It's one of the first things I take off when I get home too.  I'm pretty small, so it's never been an issue for me.

  • Love the responses! Call it vainity if you'd like, but I was told it helps prevent sagging. I'm the queen of the itty bitty club so this having boobs thing is new to me. I'm loving how full and round they look
  • As soon as i get home, bra off, pants off.

  • I don't know about you guys, but I've been so hot and sweaty I can't sleep in anything - much less a bra! I can understand if you have really big girls, mine are a small c and they've been so sore I haven't worn a real bra once since I've been prego.
  • I started leaking a ton with my DS around 20 weeks so I started wearing a bra with nursing pads.  I'm still nursing now so I still wear one to sleep in!

    Yep. Always.
  • My boobs haven't been "perky" since a c cup in 10th grade. I've always worn a bra to bed. They have always sagged d cup and above.

My need for a bra is actually worse since having DD. Even the thought of something brushing my nipple absolutely makes me cringe. I need protection. I want nothing touching my nipples.

Same here. I had big boobs at a young age. So always a sportsbra, cami with built in bra or bra.

My SIL is the opposite she never wears a bra when she can lol.

  • Sports bras are my best friend right now, I wear them day & night. I am larger chested and when I go from laying on my back to my side they hurt so bad it's almost unbearable, sleeping in a sports bra has helped a lot.

  • I have never slept without a bra on. When I first started growing boobs I wore regular bras but now it's always sports bras. I'm more of a 'take your pants off when you get home' type of gal.

  • I have huge boobs and now they are even bigger
Letting them free is making me in pain!!! Wearing a bra is holding them not making them move so no pain :/
  • I never used to, but after I got implants I started sleeping in a sports bra. It became a habit and now I am uncomfortable trying to sleep without one.

  • I can't sleep with a bra on, but need the support now that I'm expecting so I went and bought camis with a build in bra. No underwire or anything just some support and a little padding to hide my nips when it's cold
  • I just bought one of these lovelies today:

    A sleep bra!

  • I will not wear one unless I start leaking. I didn't leak last time and I am hoping not to leak this time. Post baby I will wear a nursing bra to bed until my milk regulates and I stop leaking. I am team no bra to bed unless I absolutely have to,

  • Heck no. After cramping these puppies up all day I let them air out. The thought of smooshing them together while I sleep makes me cringe.

  • I personally couldn't imagine sleeping in my bra, heck I try to avoid wearing a bra at all cost.

However, my Aunt told me for years that you're supposed to sleep with your bra on bc it help your boobs not to be saggy over time. I must admit that for a lady with huge boobs, hers were always perky. Guess she was on to something!
  • fack that noise. Bra and pants come off as soon as i get home from work.
