Help me decide on a stroller!

Stroller question: Anyone want to weigh in and help me decide what to buy- in the market for a stroller/infant seat combo. I have a lot of gift cards so I don't care about price right now. My options I've narrowed down:

1. Britax B-Agile Stroller + B-Safe infant car seat travel system
2. City Mini GT + Britax B-Safe infant car seat
3. Graco Click Connect Jogging Stroller + Graco Snugride infant car seat

Thoughts?? I'm leaning toward the City Mini but worried about the Britax adapter being a huge pain!!

TIA!

Re: Help me decide on a stroller!

  • I love the City Mini!  I rented one for DS (age 4) when we went to Disney World and it was by far the easiest stroller that I've ever used and was very comfortable for him.  So I decided that I'm going to get one for this baby.

We currently have a Phil & Ted's Navigator with the double kit and I personally think it's too heavy for me and hard to fold.  I've known others that love them, but I'm going to sell it.  Someone will get a great deal on it just so I can get what I want!

Oh, and I'm getting the Chicco car seat with the City Mini.  When we went to Babies R Us to look at the car seats I looked at the Britax B-Agile Stroller travel system and when the lady that worked there asked what else I was considering and I told her City Mini she said "I love the City Mini!"

  • FTM here, but I bought the City Mini GT (hint... search online for last year's model and save some $$) and the Britax B-safe infant carrier.  There is a $20 adapter you have to buy and I haven't used it yet so I can't say for certain how they work together, but I LOVE the stroller.  It is so smooth and easy to handle.  It is actually much easier than the Britax umbrella stroller I bought in terms of folding/unfolding.
  • Might want to check out the baby nursery and gear board. A lot of stroller questions are often answered there.
    Good luck with your decision.
( I personally didn't pick any of the above that you mentioned because neither of those would accommodate our needs). We went with the bob stroller because we needed a stroller that fits with where we live.
  • I have the City Mini GT & the B-Safe carseat- like PP said the adapter is about $20 and it's super easy to install on the GT. I haven't actually used it with a baby in it yet, but it seems really easy to get the car seat in and out of the GT with the adapter on!

  • I have the britax b-safe and b-agile and I LOVE them. The stroller is so easy to steer, and the carseat clips in and out very easily.

  • Another vote for Britax!! I have the B Safe car seat and the B Ready stroller and the Marathon convertible car seat! :)

  • Britax vote here.  We have that system and I really liked it.  I thought the car seat was heavy though, but very sturdy.  Love the stroller, and it's gotten a lot of miles around the neighborhood - both using the car seat snapped in, and just the stroller when baby got older.

    Ditto!
The stroller is also lightweight and very easy to fold/unfold.

  • I can't give a real suggestion yet since I'll be a FTM, but like @Damasked, I got a Graco (this one: https://www.amazon.com/Graco-FastAction-Stroller-Connect-Travel/dp/B00H8MQBBA/ref=br_it_dp_o?ie=UTF8&colid=1M1CHEY0DUFUF&coliid=IRT441BVWABWI). It seemed to be one of the most economical and also easy to handle and maneuver.

  • The Graco quick connect jogging stroller was way too heavy in my opinion when I checked it out in store.   Like 36 pounds heavy.   I thought I wanted that one,  til I picked it up.     Thats all I got.

  • Another vote for the Britax. I love the stroller, lightweight, easy to fold/unfold (with one hand) and awesome for shopping with the super easy click-in car seat. I also love the stroller because we're big walkers and I like that you can use the stroller by itself from the newborn stage too. (We got a little head cushion insert to cradle his head when he was brand new), but the stroller specs do say it's safe from birth.

  • Thanks everyone! We ended up going with the City Mini because of the adjustable handlebar. It was such a hard decision!

I have #1 and LOVE IT! Obviously haven't used it with a baby, but we tested it out with our dog. haha. I love that I can fit the infant seat, then regular seat, then even make it a double stroller in the future if necessary. I got the car seat in sandstone and the stroller in moss.

ETA- My dad is a plastics engineer and has worked with Graco, Chicco, and Britax and said I was only allowed to get the Britax Car seat because of their molding practices and plastic quality.

I chose the stroller to match b/c I'm too lazy to install the adapter.

  • I love the britax b agile system. Very easy to maneuver and fold up. I recommend it to all moms.
  • Have you tried them out for yourself? I couldn't decide between the Chicco KeyFit and the Britax BSafe/BAgile systems, so I went to BBB to test them out. I practiced unlatching the car seat  and folding up the stroller and lifting it...and after trying everything out, I felt the Britax was the best for me by far. It was light enough for me to fold and put in my trunk one handed...and small enough that it wouldn't take up my whole trunk.

  • I just got the Urbini for a gift at my shower. I have put it together and love how easy it is to operate and I really love the bassinet on it. The only thing that I have seen so far that I don't like is that it doesn't have a cup holder, but from what I have read you can get an attachment for one.
  • I just bought the B-Agile/B-Safe system.  Was going to do the B-Ready, but with the price I could get the Agile system for, it just made way more sense.  It folds up SO conveniently, and so far I love it (even though LO hasn't arrived yet :))
  • Little bit late, but I'd also suggest Britax B-Ready. It looks like B-Agile, but you can turn the seat so the baby faces you. I have B-Agile, which I like, but wished I've gotten B-Ready.
