Anyway does any one have a 2014 nissan rouge? How do you like it? Do you wish you got something different? If you have kids how does it fit car seats? Ill have to put 2 in mine.

I was looking at a Rogue in October (2013) but my very trusted mechanic told me to stay away... that Nissans are "no longer impressive" and "not worth looking at." Don't mean to offend anyone, just what I was told. We shopped around and did a ton of research. We ended up with a '13 Hyundai Tucson and love it!! For us it was between the Mazda, the Rav 4, the Tucson, and the CRV. The CRV would have been my next choice but it wasn't as comfortable for me at 5'2"

Oh- and ours handles the snow like a beast!! I live in New England so that was a must. I went from a Jeep to the Hyundai and I am amazed at the handling!! I have the AWD version.
  • I test drove the Rogue and didn't like it. The back window was really small and I couldnt see out of it when I reversed! It really bugged me.

We ended up with a Camry. We dont need a huge car though.
  • My husband worked for a Nissan dealership when we had our son and we got a 2010 Nissan Murano. We still have it and I haven't had any complaints. The one we bought is fully loaded and I like having the keyless entry and push button start. It will easily fit a second car seat when this LO gets here and has a good amount of trunk space. I have also not had an issue driving in snow. With that being said I really wish with adding a second child that I had something with a third row seat. If we were going to purchase something new we would get a Ford Explorer with captains chairs in the middle row.

  • I have a Rogue, and wouldn't buy it again. The blind spot is terrible.

  • We just traded in our Rogue after only two years because it wouldn't fit three car seats. Definitely something to keep in mind if you want more kids. Other than that, the Rogue was.....okay. We have a Honda Odyssey now, and LOVE IT!
  • We traded in my 2010 Nissan Versa hatchback for a 2014 Nissan Rogue SV and we love it.  It is fully loaded, including cameras on all four sides and blind spot detectors (LEDs by the side view mirrors that light up when there is a car next to you).  It has a ton of trunk space and the rear seats can move forward to give you even more space.

The 2014 Rogues are completely redesigned, previous year models are being sold as Rogue Select so that is something to keep in mind.  We never would have gone with a Rogue Select because of the blind spot problem, but the redesign is fantastic.
Thats what I thought.. that the 2014 are completely redesigned. Im going to go test drive one tonight so we shall see.

I keep going back and forth with getting a 3rd row or not. Im sure I'll like it if I had it but I dont know how much I would actually use it. Something to think about. Im leasing also so it's not like ill be stuck with this car forever either.
  • I don't know anything about the Rogue, but we just bought a 2014 RAV4 in June and I love it!!  Would highly recommend it.
  • Lurking from F15 and saw your post I hope you don't mind if I comment.  I got my 2014 Rogue SL about 6 weeks ago and I love it.  Mine is fully loaded Leather, nav, and complete tech package.  I have blindspot, lane veering, and front stop detection.  It also has a back-up camera that beeps if something is moving behind you.  Basically the thing beeps all the time.  But I have never felt more safe.  The nav system is awesome.  It links to my FB, google, and google weather and traffic.  The re-design was done really well.  There was actually a 3 week wait for mine because the SL was sold out nationwide.  I love the back seats as they recline and can not only fold forward but they also slide forward.  The trunk has a shelving system that is awesome so you can lay a stroller flat and them put bags and other stuff on the shelf.  I test drove and extensively looked at the jeep cherekee, Honda CRV, Hyndai tuscon and santa fe, ford escape, chevy equinox, and rav4 and highlander.  The width is going to be comparable to the other cross-over SUVs so fitting 2 full size carseats will take up the entire back seat.  The S and SV version do have an optional 3 row but you do loss the trunk space.  I registered for a Diono car seat which is 5 inches narrower so I'm hoping when #2 comes around we wont have an issue.  Like I said so far I love my car.  The only issue that I've had is a little rattle noise when my AC on full blast had them check it our and everything is fine.  Also Gas mileage is great.  So far I'm getting an average of about 30 MPG which was about the same as the accord that I traded in.  Hope this helps and good luck.
