ouch! nipple "cut"

A few days ago I have noticed a lighter spot on my nipple, not painful, but almost like chaffing-like. Today I woke up and noticed a little cut on it. What can you do to heal the nipple? I have never had that before.
I am 9wks pg and BFing my 26 month old has been painful. I have reduced feedings a lot, but I think that maybe her tooth injured my nipple when I tried to unlatch her at night.

    coconut oil is great. or A&D ointment.

    you can also mix your own all-purpose nipple ointment from over the counter creams:
    Mix equal amounts:
    • Antibiotic: Bacitracin or Polysporin (not Neosporin)
    • Anti-fungal: Lotrimin AF (clotriamzole) or Monistat (miconazole)
    • Anti-inflammatory: Hydrocortisone 1%

    Try nursing in a different position for a few days so the area can heal without teeth touching. Of course that may mean a bit of sitting up for night nursing a for a fee days but if it helps nip heal it will be worth it
