Today is the last day of my maternity leave and I return to work on Monday. I am a complete wreck just thinking about it. I can't imagine leaving my son (even though I found a day care I really like) b/c I am SO attached to him. I'm also worried about pumping at work. Any advice for making the transition period easier? Also any tips for successful pumping at work?? TIA!
Re: Advice for going back to work?
It was hard at first but you get into a routine and the day goes by. Try to pump every three hours you are away from home. Once you have confrimed you have enough supply then try to bring it down to two. I started with Two and was not getting enough. I went to three and it was better but I just started to take Blessed Thistle and this has really helped. The first weeks was hard and then I found Sundays to be hard. I hate Sunday nights!!! Just remember your baby knows you and is not going to forget you. No one can replace a mom.
