Overnight diapers

I was wondering if anyone has tried an overnight diaper on their LO yet? I think I can get DD into a Huggies overnight (size 3) if I fold the top down. Do they really absorb more than say, the baby dry "12 hour" diapers? If I don't change DD at least twice a night, when I get up in the morning she is soaked to her pj's.

Is your LO getting to the top of the weight range for your regular daytime diapers?

If so, I've always had luck going up to the next size just for overnight until he's ready to transition fully into the size during the day. No since wasting diapers during the day when they get changed every few hours.
not quite! But again I am sure I could fold the top to fit! I was just looking and noticed the overnights start at size 3 and thought, if they actually do work better they might be worth a shot!

We use the pampers 12 hour overnight diapers in a larger size. Works great for is but that diaper is SO WET in the morning it's crazy!! I can't believe how much he pees!
Everytime I put DD in a pampers she leaks right out! I don't know what the deal is! We've only ever had one blow out and it was in a pampers!

    I'm talking like

specific overnight diapers. But we will for sure try feeding her a bit earlier! Right now we go from about 8-1 then 1-6 and I'm talking like FULL diapers here not just a bit wet. She goes more at night than in the day.

ETA: she obviously has more than two wet diapers during the day they just usually aren't that full..

  • I bought the Huggies Snug N Dry in size 3 and it seems to be working. He wore it last night from about 8:30 to 6:30 with no leaks. I'm not a big fan of Pampers in general. That mesh liner sticks to his junk.
  • I think it depends on the shape of your LO too. We use Pampers Sensitive Swaddlers but he is long and on the skinnier side.

Something else you might consider is feeding her a little bit earlier before you put her down for the night. Then she would have a chance to pee and get some of the excess liquid out before you change her diaper and lay her down for the night.
This is us too - she is long and lean and we use the Pampers Sensitive Swaddlers. We only have to change her once overnight. We've gone the whole night, but I don't like to.
  • LO is a heavy wetter. We use Pampers Baby Dry overnight as well and always end up changing him sometime around 4am when he eats for the second time. Last night LO surprised us and skipped his 4am feeding so no diaper change and we had a huge mess to deal with once he finally woke up at 8am. The diaper had become so saturated with pee that there was no more absorbing power for his early morning poo.

  • We use Huggies overnights for both DD1 and DD2.

  • We use Pampers Swaddlers (skinny boy here too) and Aiden goes from 8pm to 6:30am without a diaper change.  It's usually pretty soaked, but he's never leaked up until now, so I never even thought about it!

  • The overnight huggies worked amazing for DD1! They were a life saver. The 3's still drown DD2, even folded, so we will be waiting a little while longer to try again.

  • We use Up & Up dipes for both kiddos and never have leaks -- Even DD who still soaks her diaper.

  • I'm into the more natural diapers (which you may not care abou, idkt) and have found that Poof diapers are AMAZING! My DD goes through a 12 hour stretch without any leaks at all. They run really far up the front/back which is great for anti-leak. They're unbelievably soft and really cute patterns. Because we only use them at night a package lasts a month. The sizes cover a large span so you don't have to worry about them growing out of them quickly. You can buy them on Amazon or Diapers.com. All natural/biodegradable.

  • DS can go 12 hours without leaking with the Pampers baby dry.  We use Huggies little movers during the day though because those contain his poop much better.

This is us too. She did leak once but we were still in size 2's. Once we moved up to 3's we have not had an issue.
