I haven't posted on here in a while but used to be a regular.
My dd is 20 months tomorrow (when did that happen!?) and I'm 20 weeks pregnant tomorrow. Dd is still nursing but a few months ago I had to night wean and we no longer nurse in demand. It's usually just before bed and nap.
The last several weeks I have excruciating pain when she first latches on. It feels like she has needles in her mouth and I have to seriously hold back tears. Once she's started it stops hurting. She only nurses a few mins. It's more comfort/cuddling than anything at this point.
I've noticed white spots or dots(?) on my nipples. Not at all on the areola and I can gently scrape it off. I had thrush a long time ago, twice, and never did either of us have white showing symptoms. Areola is slightly more pink/red but I'm also pregnant and nothing is "normal" right now. I read someone where that this early there can be colostrum forming? Is that possibly this?
I question thrush bc she hardly ever nurses anymore other than 2 times a day and she's so fast bc I really don't think she's even getting any milk. I'll talk to my OB tomorrow and if needed a LC but I'm curious of any other pregnant nursing mamas have had this? Or even just other breast feeding mamas that had white spots but not thrush.
Thanks for any advice You can offer!

Re: Is "white" ever not thrush?
I really feel guilty stopping.
I guess I'm surprised if it's dried milk bc I feel like there's nothing in there but there must be lol
