induction "bumped" to tomorrow

Well, L&D called and said today was too busy and to come tomorrow instead. J is super bummed! I'm ok though, let things in there get a little more ready.

It is a bit of a let down, but I'm pretty calm about it. Maybe I'll go into labor on my own! That would get me to the front of the line! Hehe.

Lil'mamaz was born on Aug 21, 2014! She's PERFECT!

It's been a long road to here...
Me (43) and J (45) - same sex couple. And we don't feel 40+!
June'12 - First RE Visit
Sept. '12 - Tubes removed
Dec. '12 - Donor Egg/Donor Sperm IVF Cycle - 4 good embies!
Dec. '12 - Fresh transfer, BFP! EDD 8/29/13
Mar. '13 - Missed m/c at 16w1d, baby boy stopped growing at 15w4d
Loss due to umbilical cord clot...baby was perfect. :(
Jul '13 - FET#1 - c/p
Sept. '13 - FET#2 - BFN
Dec.' 2, 2013 - FET#3 with our last chance embie - BFP!!!
Dec' 26, 2013 - hb!!
EDD 8/20/14 with a baby girl!
Little S was born on 8/21/14 - 8lb, 14 oz and 20 inches long.
We live in Seattle and used SRM for our donor egg IVF cycle

    Well, I can understand J being bummed, but honestly I think this might be good news for you! You are right, give things as much time to progress on their own before pulling out the big guns (Pitocin). For me, I was 5 cm dilated when I was admitted to L&D and started on pit, and I think that really helped me not have a ridiculously long hospitalized labor. Once they broke my water things went really fast. The fact that you aren't super uncomfy and are progressing a bit already is a really good sign.

    At any rate, I am sorry you have to wait another day before meeting your little mamaz, but really happy that you have a positive outlook and that your body is getting ready on its own for the big event.

    Enjoy your last bonus day of pregnancy -- take a nap, watch a movie, eat ice cream! Your little one will be here before you know it! :)

    5 medicated IUIs w/ RE (March - July 2013) = BFN

    Fresh IVF Cycle in September 2013 resulted in 18 mature eggs, 16 fertilized, 12 made it to day 5.     That stinks a little, but at the same time it's great you get time to do things on your own too. Enjoy your day together, sleep as much as you can!! We are all waiting on that little girls arrival.

    We welcomed Adalyn Cooper Elizabeth on 8/29/14
    She was 7lbs 11oz and 19.6 inches long

    8/20/2014 is a way cooler bday than 8/19/2014 anyway! (That is, unless you're one of those prime number lovers.) ;)

    I would agree, our wedding anniversary is 4/20 so we liked the 20th. However, J is from Arkansas and today is Bill Clinton's bday. And, we both love Star Trek and its also Gene Roddenberry's birthday!

    In stark contrast, tomorrow is Ron Paul's birthday. Ah well.... :)

    Oooooh, I so hope you go into labor on your own tonight!  But if not, 8/20 needs some help (based on your Ron Paul comment).  :)
