NTTCR: Worst tattoo fails

We've all see at least one tattoo that you've thought--that's awful!
So let's hear it... What's the worst tattoo you've seen?

I knew this very sweet girl who had a tattoo on the back of her neck with Chinese letters. When she was on a missions trip to China, a man came up to her an asked "how much?" She was confused, and upon further investigating he read the back of her neck. She found out the tattoo that she got in the US that she thought said "love and prosperity" actually translated into "love for money". Oops.

Lol. TTCAL is full of tattoo fails this month (it was the monthly challenge). They are awful, I can barely stand to look at most of them. Needless to say given my distaste at looking at the "fails" I decided not to participate (I wouldn't even be able to look at my info!).

I had a friend who got a tiger put on his back. It was aweful, the guy colored the eye green but couldn't tatoo within the lines to save his life so there was a green blob a few mm outside the eye. There was so many other mishaps with the tatoo I'm sure he has had it removed or covered over by now.

This guy I knew had a sun tattooed on his right arm. He had designed it and it really wasn't that a bad design however there were two issues. First, they tattooed it too deep so certain spots totally scarred. (Nothing like a tattoo you can feel, eh?) The other issue was that he had allowed them to photograph it for their book expressly saying he did not want anyone else to have the exact same design. Well, a few months later he became friends with a guy who had his tattoo, exactly the same design and size but on his left arm. (bonus fact: guy #2 was a friend of mine who I had a one night stand with. Guy #1 I ended up dating a few years later.)

In high school, one of my friends got a tattoo of Timon from the Lion King on his shoulder. At the time it probably seemed like a good idea, but at 39 I wonder if he is still walking around with it or had it artfully redesigned later in life.

I know someone who had his girlfriend's name tattooed on his face. Unlike the tattoo, the relationship is now a thing of the past. Unfortunately, I don't know him well enough to ask him why he hasn't had it removed.

Many cities also have programs offering free removal of tattoos (e.g. gang-related ones, etc) that are likely to stop people from finding employment. My work refers people to these pretty frequently.

Do any of you ladies remember the 7-Up Spot character? Well-- an ex boyfriend of mine got Spot tattooed on his arm with a gun in his hand. Whhhhhhhyyyy??? Again. EX-boyfriend. lol

There is actually a show on A&E called "Bad Ink". The guys on the show find people with horrible and/or ridiculous tattoos and then "fix" them. It's pretty interesting to see what some people have put on themselves! But then to see these guys make it into something better is pretty awesome!
