So kudos to my insurance, they just shipped me my Medela PISA at ZERO cost to me :-bd
But it is only the very basic starter kit....pump, tubes, and nipple parts (sorry i can't recall the technical name right now). It did not come with a fancy carryall bag like the retail models do.
My question is - is there any reason why I can't just use any old tote bag (Because I probably have no less than 20 lying around my house), or is it worth it to splurge an extra $100+ to get one of the Medela branded bags? I did opt to put the cooler bag on my registry. From what I can tell, the only benefit to the Medela bags is the pump compartment opens in the front vs. having to take the whole pump unit out of the bag. Am I missing anything? Looking for some "been their-done that" advice. Thanks!

Any bag should do, you mostly use it to just carry your pump and parts around. Taking the actual pump out of the bag is no big deal.
