Zantac stopped working after a month... Experience?

DS is back to how he was before meds. He has been on Zantac for a month pretty successfully. I just called the dr and left a msg. Curious if an increase in dosage usually does the trick or if changing meds is the next step? Any experience?

Yes! My lo has had hers increased twice. Actually I just talked to her pediatrician an hour ago and we are increasing the dose again. The dose is based on the baby's weight so when they gain weight, the dose should increase also, if they need it. My lo definately lets me know when she needs an increase.

It could just be a dosage issue or a severity issue. I've had both, hooray! Definitely talk to your pedi and see what they say.

I just called today to get my LO dosage increased after 1.5 mths. Hopefully it works. It stinks for them to be uncomfortable.

We are going from 1.25 ml to 1.5 ml. Started Zantac at 7 weeks. He's 13 weeks today.

ETA: Dosage is given twice a day.

My lo is 13 weeks tomorrow and is on .8 ml 3x day

We had to increase the amt and frequency... We are at .7 ml 3x per day and it (knock on wood) has done the trick.

He was on 1ml 2x day before we switched to Prilosec/Omezaprole where he's at 2ml 2x day.

We just increased our meds too. Took a few days but you can now notice a difference! We are giving S 1.5 twice a day.

We are on 0.9 mL at 15 weeks. She was weighed today at the doctor and was 12.5 lbs. We had to up hers after three weeks, works like a charm again!
