@Mrs.McIrish –12/2/14–Twin Girls – Congrats on v-day! My OB put me on Protonix for reflux and it has been a Godsend! It works so well, it is specialty for my insurance so I had to get a preauthorization, but I love it and intend on thanking her on Thursday at my appointment. I hope you can find something that helps. Any more movement? You need to tell those sweet girls to stop ganging up on Mommy and to let you enjoy the ride a little bit!

Well today is the day of my last check-in! WOW! 3rd Tri here I come. The only person that expressed interest in posting the check in was @Calindi so I suppose she is your new leader **insert applause** Thank you all for allowing me to take this over and post everyweek. I have enjoyed reading about all of your journeys and thanks for allowing me to be nosey and ask tons of questions! I took on the check in cause I thought it would help make the 2nd tri fly by and it did, and that is thanks to you lovely ladies.

AFM: I am starting to slow down which is very hard on me mentally. I am always a go go go person but I can see the effects it is having lately. I think the 'honeymoon' phase of the 2nd tri is starting to come to an end for me.. I have my gluecose test on Thursday.. not looking forward to that at all, in fact I am pretty nervous about it. Other than that the moving and shaking of Ms. Ellie is wonderful and I love every since flick.

QOTW: For me it is my shower... I did not want to have one but was pressured into it. I am 2.5 weeks away from it and I just want to cry... but I am trying to take it as everyone wants to celebrate my DD and that I should not be selfish cause she needs alot of crap!! lol

AFM: lots of baby movement which is fun! I turned in bed so my belly was against my husband's back and he felt the kicking! It was funny.

QOTW: hmmm... for me it's deciding what stroller to get. and if i should get a stroller for my parents (they live in the same city) just to make it easier in case i want to just randomly stop by their house with the baby. Also where am I going to put this stroller? our house is tiny and doesnt have a closet/mud room by the door. Nursery is on pause, we're installing carpet but that should be easy.

Baby boy is moving around a lot and likes to jam some body part up under my ribcage so that's a lot of fun considering I sit at work all day. We are finally making some progress on cleaning out the nursery. I sorted and bagged all of SD's old clothes so now we just need to donate them. Next up is sorting all her old toys into ago appropriate groups for the boy and then storing them in the basement. Friday is my next appointment and 1 hour glucose test so there's that.

QOTW: We've delayed working on the nursery and specifically picking out a paint color. We need to get moving on that because school starts next week and I know our weekends are going to fill up and before we know it he'll be here.

I'm 23w5d... almost at V day!! Everything went well with my cervix check, they assured me it was long and closed - I didn't get an exact measurement, but it sounds like there is no need to worry. Baby is laying horizontally face down a bit on the low side, so all movements I've been feeling have been very low. The US tech said this was fine at this stage of the game and baby still will have loads of time to wiggle all over in different positions. I just wish DH could feel kicks on the outside, but it seems like it may take a while longer for that. We registered on Sunday and bought a crib, dresser, and glider.... which brings me to
QOTD: We have no where to put anything. We live in a very old new england farm house and have plaster walls throughout. The room we are using for the nursery has some sagging/cracking in the plaster that we need to repair before painting or bringing anything in. We are getting some estimates this week, but I just want that to be done and I will feel so much better!

@ashris13 - so happy to be moving to the 3rd tri with you. I cannot believe it! *Insert happy dance*. You've been a great check-in leader and I've loved your personal touch to it. Room rearrangement went great! I actually love our "small" house even more now, seems bigger. We plan to paint Labor day weekend and also buy the furniture...speaking of furniture...

QOTW: I haven't bought the nursery furniture yet! I've looked a lot, but keeping doubting myself on if #1) I'm getting a good deal and most importantly #2) if it's the "right" furniture for baby girl. I'm sure it's all good stuff, I'm just afraid. I'm actually hoping for some Labor Day sales and that is when I think we will buy. Or I guess, we better buy! I'll be in my third tri before I purchase furniture!

Time is flying!!! I'm 25w3d today. Baby is constantly dancing up a storm, although not as much as DS did but there is still plenty of time left. It's hard to believe we'll be +1 in three short months!

QOTW: I honestly have not done a thing to prepare for this baby just yet! I've been so preoccupied with other stuff going on that I really need to buckle down and get something done. The first thing on our list will be to move furniture out of the future nursery and paint, although we only have to paint one wall so it's not too bad! Oh and we should probably order a crib...

Hey everyone!

A/S went great! We were both so tense during it and cried after. We are soo happy! Going on 20 weeks this Thursday. Baby weighs 10oz!

We also sent out our announcement cards and posted our announcement pictures on facebook. I was overwhelmed with all the support and congrats. I also got a lot of congrats at work after officially coming out, people knew I was pregnant, but didn't bring it up because I wasn't talking about it. So I got a lot of I knew you were pregnant but didn't want to say anything, now that it is official, congrats.

QOTW: So we went to finish up the baby room (not furniture) but the last of technical things (install closet doors) and they didn't fit....lol. So we went and cut them with a table saw and now need to repaint those edges this weekend. We probably should have measured before we painted!

We also bought our first piece of nursery furniture, a rocking leather recliner that matches our downstairs furniture. Decided a nice recliner is just as much as those uncomfy gliders, might as well get something we can use downstairs when we are done using it in the nursery!

Can't believe my summer is coming to an end...not ready for school this fall......

@Ashris13‌ Thank you so much for all of your work w/ the check ins! I can't believe we're moving on to 3rd tri. It feels like just yesterday we were cycle buddies! I felt the exact same way about my shower - but like you said, it's all about our baby girls

AFM- Girls are doing great. I had an U/S last week & they're measuring close to 2 pounds each. My doc seemed to think this was great for 25 weeks. I had my glucose test this morning which was rough. Thankfully it stayed down, but barely. I should get the results sometime later today.

QOTW- Figuring out our daycare/work plans for after the babies are born. That has been weighing on me a lot lately.

Hey guys!

I'm 18 weeks 2 days today. We had the anatomy scan yesterday and everything looked perfect! We are so, so relieved. We also found out that we're having a boy! He clearly does not take after me, because he was not shy at all - it was the first thing the tech saw when she started the scan. It's so cool to know. I've been having a really hard time believing that this was really happening, but now that it's a boy/son instead of just a baby I think it's going to get easier for me. I also came "out" on FB with both the pregnancy and infertility so that was kind of scary but also another big relief.

I talked to my doctor about my concerns about my weight and she was not worried. She said I could have gained more by now, but I haven't lost any so it's fine. Also, baby boy is still measuring one week ahead (93rd percentile for size) so I feel confident that he's getting everything that he needs!

QOTW: Oh gosh - we still have everything on our to-do list, but we hopefully have lots of time. I guess over the next 1-2 months we're going to start looking into the hospital tour and classes and work on the nursery. Those are both going to be tough because H just started a new job with a pretty long commute so we'll be limited to weekends I guess.

I am 20 weeks today, half way point- woo! A/S is next Tuesday- super excited. We are Team BLUE! Hubby is soooo excited and he doesnt get "excited" very often. Haha

QOTD: My biggest concern/problem was our whole house fan. We installed it in the nursery 7 years ago. So this weekend hubby and his coworker, removed it, drywalled the ceiling, mudded it, cut out the hole in the living room, installed it, and ran power! It works! Next weekend they are retexturing the ceiling then operation nursery really starts. Paint, diamond plate, and furniture move in. Im ready! Take care ladies!

Im 18wk 4d I cannot believe I'm almost at the 20wk Mark! Crazy! My next apt is a week and a half away its my a/s I can't wait to see my babies! Im feeling them kick everyday now I love it and my little boy gets in the weirdest positions and has my belly looking very asymmetrical sometimes lol nausea is so much better but heatburn has been killer! Im going to be sleeping in the recliner soon lol

Qotd: the main concern is child care all of our family is 2hrs away and we don't know many ppl I'm hoping it will just kinda work out. We also havent done much with the nursery, its painted, but that's it. DHs grandad is building two cribs which I would rather he not lol but im sucking it up

@Milagros315 and anyone else looking into classes. Definitely sign up now! We just signed up for a breastfeeding class, baby care basics, and a childbirth class all in November and we took some of the last spots! Taking my classes around 30 weeks, never know if baby will come early, so want to get the classes in

Did you (or anyone else) pre-register at the hospital if you're planning a hospital birth? I've heard mixed things about it (super helpful vs. waste of time) but maybe that's another thing that's better to do sooner rather than later.

Thanks @Ashris13‌ for doing the check in. And don't worry about the glucose it's not that bad. I had to do it at 13 wks with morning sickness and it went fine. I also have to do it again in the next couple of weeks.

I'll be 25 wks tomorrow. I had an appt yesterday and I'm measuring 28wks so just a little ahead. Both babies look great with heartbeats of 146 and 150. Growth scan on Thursday so that should be fun. Dh is going to come and he hasn't seen the babies since 16 wks.

QOTW: car seats have been so hard for me to decide on. I want ones that will go into the snap and go and I want graco. So I ordered one with free returns to see how it will fit in the snap n go and my car. If I like it I'll just order a second.

Hi Ladies! I am so excited to join you all in 2nd Tri!!

My EDD is Feb 11th, but will have the two babes sometime in January. I am 15w today w/ no apt. in sight. My next will be Sept. 15th, as of now, but I am in the middle of switching OBs. So I'm sure that date will change. We have no team yet, but can't wait to find out. I feel great.. still tired & the headaches can be killer sometimes. I'm ready to start showing & to start feeling these two move!

QOTW: My to-do list still has everything unchecked.. but I've been busy on craigslist trying to find strollers and such & I do know which cribs we want, just waiting for them to go on sale.

Also you might not need to make calls, I registered for one class at the hospital I am delivering at and for two classes at another local hospital, I was able to do it all online/pay online with credit card

Ah okay! I know I can pre-register online so maybe I can sign up for the classes too. I'm not sure about pre-registering, but I think it involves entering all of your personal and insurance information so that you don't have a bunch of forms to fill out when you're in labor.

Happy to be 24+3 today. We had an appt last week and baby girl looked great at 1lb 9oz

I saw a few people mentioning hospital classes and my advice is to sign up right as you hit the 16 week mark! I wasn't thinking about it then and thought it was too early but when I tried to sign up around 21 weeks every class right up to my due date was completely full. My ob had to call the hospital directly to get me in and I only did because of a cancellation. So definitely don't wait on that like I did. I spent a week wondering whether we would go into L&D having no idea what we were doing and it was stressful!

@Ashris13 thank you so much for running the check-in and congrats on third tri!!

My 16 week OB appointment went very well on Friday. We scheduled the anatomy scan for September 4th and I can't wait to see her again! I am feeling pretty good. I started CrossFit again and it feels great. I'm still taking the Zofran every day for the nausea. I am very particular with what I eat and thankfully the only things I can tolerate are also very healthy. Much different than my pregnancy with DS. I've been feeling her very delicate movements. I am really looking forward to more movement - it was absolutely my favorite last time

QOTW: We are ready! We haven't moved DS to his new "big boy" room yet, but I'm not in any rush. I have some girly touches I want to add to the nursery, so that's all I have left to buy/make for her.

All is well here. I had my glucose test yesterday. Waiting on the results. We hung the pictures in the nursery this weekend and it is looking almost finished! I also washed all of her clothes and things that people have given us and put them in the dresser. It is starting to feel so real now!

We booked our maternity photography session which I am excited about and we have 3 showers being planned right now! So much to get done!

QOTW: DAY CARE! AH! Finding childcare has been way harder than I ever thought it would be. I am having a hard time finding what I want at a price we can afford. Ugh. I will be glad once we figure this piece out. I am also still working on a pediatrician. That is the next project.

Hi ladies! Greetings from Aruba! 17w3d here and feeling good! We are patiently awaiting the a/s on 9/5 and will be doing a gender reveal cake with our immediate family members 2 days later! We cannot wait to find out if this is a little boy or girl! I think I may be starting to feel a couple of kicks but they are very few and far between- thanks to the anterior placenta.

QOTQ: We are not ready at all! Since we are still shy of 18w, we think we still have lots of time to prepare! We actually do not have any names picked out as we are waiting to see what the sex is first- for some reason this is causing me the most anxiety!

I attached a pic of me 2 days ago on the beach with my little bump! We leave here in 2 days and are ready to go home, see our pups & start planning everything for the baby!

@ashris Congrats on moving to 3rd tri! So happy for you. Yes, we are out in the open about it now. DH and I told mostly everyone last week after our 20 week anatomy scan.

I can feel the baby move everyday now. Well its mostly at night or if I'm sitting down relaxing. I only feel him on the inside when I put my hand over where I am feeling it I can't feel anything on the outside. I hope that changes soon! Besides that I'm feeling fine. I have a tiny bump that you would notice if you knew me but not if you were a stranger. I have my next app at 24 weeks for sono and glucose. Waiting 4 weeks in between appointments is torture!

AFM: We have a dr appt on Thursday my glucose test and an ultrasound

I will probably fail the glucose test but that will be par for the course with this pregnancy. I can't wait to see my little munchkin. He's moving all over. I have one shower September 21 and one October 11. I'm pretty excited.

QOTW: Throwing things away. Since I am still on modified bed rest I am not allowed to do anything really. I need to clean out my closet and declutter. We also need to return our angle babies carseat and clothes to BRU. We haven't been ready to do that yet!

26 weeks today! Can't believe I'll be in the 3rd trimester next week. Boys are doing well - moving around all the time and you can even watch them move, which is pretty cool. I need to schedule my glucose test for sometime in the next 2 weeks and have a regular check up tomorrow morning.

QOTW: Nothing comes to mind, but we haven't started on the nursery yet, but I think after my shower in September we will then buy whatever nursery things we don't have and get that set up.

Hello All!!!

Best wishes to all those headed over to 3rd tri.

15w4d today due 2/7/15... Im starting to get my energy back although the all day sickness still comes and goes. We are officially team blue, with our anatomy scan next week. We went public at 14wks and in the past week Ive done 3 registries (because I didnt realize people would start asking me where I was registered so soon). Everything else is basically set up. We've had names picked for years, we've known the theme/color scheme of the nursery for a while now, I got kicked out of the planning stages for the shower...so Im feeling a little bored these days.

As someone suggested I think I'll start signing up for classes and hospital tour next week. I dont want all the classes to fill up.

QOTW: The only thing that is bothering me is the nursery. Im due first week of Feb, so I really wanted the nursery and everything baby related to be complete by end of Dec/Beginning of January. Just in case or early labor or bed rest. Well we have family coming in town for Thanksgiving and I out of the date suggestions given to family and friends I think the baby shower will be that weekend as well. So I cant break down my guest room until afterwards, which puts a tight cramp on the timeline for getting the nursery done.

DH has suggested we redo our office into an office/guest room, then we can start working on the nursery sooner. But I dont think redoing 2 rooms can be done with our already hectic schedules. But Im going to let it go, and allow him to work his magic.

AFM: Not a whole lot to update here. I will be 26 weeks on Friday and had my cervix checked Monday. Things are holding up well (they gave me a number...I think it was 48...and I was to embarrassed to ask "What does that mean?" but they were happy so I'm happy).

I'm getting pretty dang uncomfortable. The belly has been growing seemingly overnight and now people are kind of giving me the double take when I say I'm due in November (I quickly add "but I'm having twins!") Someone asked if it was triplets. I'm going to assume they were either crazy or suicidal.

My first shower is Saturday. It's a co-ed shower and I'm both excited and dreading it. I'm excited that we're finally here and one of these events that I used to so desperately avoid because of the pain it caused is being thrown in our honor, but I have serious people anxiety. A lot of the people are going to be DH's coworkers and their wives and I'm just like, "What do we talk about?" I'm so crappy at small talk. Normally I'd just have a glass or three of wine and the social situation would be fine....but can't exactly do that, can I?

QOTW: Really, everything that I've wanted to get done has pretty much gotten done. A quick trip to Target and I'd be ready for these babies to come tomorrow (at least ready with STUFF, emotionally/mentally I'm not sure). The only thing I've had a hard time finding it artwork I like for the nursery. I just don't like babyish things and everything I find is either too expensive or there's just something I don't quite like about it. This is a total minor thing, though. Boohoo. Babies won't have pretty walls. Pretty sure they won't grow up to be serial killers or anything because of it.

Hey ladies! so exciting to read your updates!

I am 16 weeks and 1 day with my boys! I had my OB appointment and everything looked good. just hearing their heartbeats makes me melt. I have my sono with my MFM on Monday and I can't wait to see them! We are doing our reveal with our families and announcing on social media on Labor Day. Nothing fancy just a cookout and some cake.

I registered for a multiples class at the hospital...glad I did it early because there were only a few spots left. The class is in October so not anytime soon.

QOTW: We haven't done too much yet... I need to call a painter to paint he nursery and play room. We bought the paint and both rooms are cleaned out I have just been busy. I also need to start thinking about registries. My first shower is at the end of September.

My next appointment is for the anatomy scan mid Sept. I'm looking forward to finding out (hopefully) if it's a boy or girl so I can really start planning. Can't believe in officially in the 2nd tri! Everyday it gets more real. I'm due 2/18 or 22 depending on ob/mfm due dates. So strange that they won't just pick one. We are team green.
QOTW: I've done nothing! We were waiting to hit this milestone and get blood results back. Everything came back clear yesterday so it's time to start planning.

AFM: We have our a/s on Tuesday and while we know it's a girl, it'll be a great relief to see and hear that everything is good! And we have a few names picked out but haven't really decided on anything. Waiting to see if we can find a better name or if we end up liking one name more than the other ..

QOTW: For us, it cleaning up these 2 rooms. The room that will be baby's and the room that we will end up making into a office/family room. There is so much crap in both rooms, it's extremely intimadating just looking at it! Thankfully, there's been this clothing drive at our church that I've been able to slowly get through it piece by piece. But despite the fact that we've been doing this for 2 weeks straight, there's still so much that still needs to get done!

Sorry ladies I'm late again this week, work has been busy and tiring this mama-to-be out.

@Ashris13 Congrats on moving to the 3rd trimester! You've been an amazing check in leader. @calindi‌ you were great as my 1st tri check in leader and I'm sure you'll do a great job here, thank you so much for taking over.

23w3d today and feeling pretty good. No major updates with me or baby. Next appt is at 26 weeks which is the same week we're leaving for our babymoon. Yes we are headed to Florida for our babymoon in about 3 weeks! I'm excited to spend some quality alone time with DH before this LO joins us in Dec. Plus this month has been pretty chilly in New England and I feel like I didn't really have much of a summer, so my summer will begin the moment I set foot in FL!

I still haven't officially made the announcement at work. I told my boss at 15 weeks and she has been keeping it a secret since she said it's my announcement to make, not hers. Finally, a male coworker asked me privately on Tuesday (another male, and my work is 80% female), I told him yes and to my surprise he didn't tell anyone. I noticed the ladies have been looking at my bump but nobody had said a word. I've been hiding under loose tops and dresses. My plan is to go in next week (24w and v-day!) rocking my bump in a maternity shirt and let the bump make its own announcement.

QOTW: The nursery remains the biggest project. We ordered a crib and dresser last week but need the room to be emptied out before we can put them up. I really need to speed things up because I know the last few months will fly by and I'll be less mobile.

Can I please be added? 14w3d & excited to officially be I'm second tri!
I had an OB checkup yesterday. She pulled put the doppler & she found the hb right away. I was skeptical, bc I read it can be hard before 16w & I have a tilted uterus. Needless to say I was pleasantly surprised! However, she then went on to tell me I have gained 8lbs so far & we will need to watch my weight at the next appt.

I know I gained weight, but it didn't feel like that much.

Q: we have a ton left to do. I am anxious to sign up for classes. My schedule is tough bc I work nights, so I need to get into the classes that work with my schedule.

I would like to be added, I am 15w with twins and my EDD is Feb 13. I can't believe I'm in 2nd Tri already, it feels like pregnancy is just flying by. I do feel like I just might have spotting/bleeding that is going to just continue for the whole darn time, but I am just taking 1 day at a time.

I had a busy weekend! DH and I picked up a dresser Thursday and a glider and ottoman on Friday. So we have all the furniture set up in the room. I just have to pick up curtains and decorations to go along with the HP theme. Saturday we completed our registry. We registered at babies r us, target and amazon. I'm going to send my lists to some friends with small kids and ask them to go over my lists and give me suggestions. I know I'll be taking some things off the registry because my sister has things like a swing and bouncer she got for my niece last year (my niece just turned one) that we are going to use since you only get a few months out of stuff like that.

Next week I have a 22 weeks appointment. Lately the baby has been kicking and moving like crazy. A few nights ago the baby woke me up! I notice it when I'm hungry and right after I've peed
