Breech baby?

I'm 33 weeks and was told baby is breech. Anyone else have this happen? Does this mean my caesarean will be before 40,weeks?

There are tons of posts on this topic - try looking around a bit.

LO still has room and time to turn, so, it should not guarantee a CS pre-40 weeks, but talk to your ob about your specific case.

I would think you still have a lot of time for the baby to turn.. Check with your DR if you are concerned.

My first was breech at 34 weeks. They tried a version at 36 weeks. My c/s was scheduled for 39 weeks. My water broke a week before that. They checked to make sure he was still breech before proceeding with a c/s.

I also currently have a breech baby. She's Frank Breech, apparently there are 3 types of breech; complete, incomplete and Frank. I've known since I was 20 weeks along she was breech and she's still breech. I started chiropractic care last week in hopes of "loosening" ligaments and such up so that she can turn. There's still time for your LO to turn, but def check out the spinningbabies site. Chiropractic is supposed to be good as well as acupuncture.

I was told if I get to 36 weeks and she's still breech, I can chose to have a version done or go ahead a set up a c/s for a week before my due date. GL OP!

I am seeing a chiropractor certified in the Webster technique of helping babies turn head down. My LO is also breech, but I'm only 32 weeks. I'm pretty sure he'd turn on his own, but my hips are sore and I've heard great things about this chiro, so I'm checking it out!

ETA: Why are all these c/s scheduled early? The final week(s) are really important for brain development. I was super sad to have to be induced at just 37 weeks...so I'm just wondering why schedule at 39 instead of 40+ weeks or do the c/s when mom goes into labor naturally?

32 weeks breech, today at 34 week check up he was head down. You have lots of time! The earliest the will schedule a c sec is 39 weeks. At this point I wouldn't even schedule it.

I'm 31 wk and breech. But baby has flipped every visit! Dr said usually by 35-36 wks they pick their position of choice. I won't do turning by doc stuff. Videos on YouTube make it look scary! They have to use so much pressure! It's probably very silly of me to be scared but I'll just take the risk to my body with a cs and not his if necessary.

Thanks to everyone that shared info ... My ultrasound is not done by my Ob so I haven't had a chance to ask her as my next appt is not until next week... I also have placenta previa which is why they are scheduling me for an earlier c section. What I don't get are the people who take time to comment rudely... Saying this was already asked it being annoyed by my asking isn't really productive... Just don't read what I put ... Thought this sight was for support not put downs
