Updated with picture to tell DH - Surprise BFP!! Joining in

Hello mamas-to-be!
I got my BFP yesterday after completely giving up on this stupid cycle. I only tested yesterday because I had plans to meet up with a group of my crazy internet moms group and wanted to drink without guilt. Well to my shock I saw a line!! I am based of my guessing my EDD is May 1st. Sadly, I am not seeing a May 2015 birth month board though, so hope you ladies do not mind me joining in here. (As I may end up with an April baby in the end.) I am the mama to my DS Sam, who is 2.5 years old. I am nervous and excited about adding a second to our family. Looking forward to getting to know you mamas.

Cycle/Month: 1/2 (of charting)

CD/DPO: 43/9 (guessing, based off of temps and CM)

EDD: May 1, 2015

Timing: -5,-2,-1,+1

What we did: Well, since I thought my FW was way earlier in the month, we just had sex as normal during my actual FW. I temped and charted. I used OPKs/temp to detect first surge, but that was wrong. Thought we were out and I was just counting down to CD60 to call my OB. I have been testing since like CD22 with lots of BFN. So this morning was a shock!

How I told SO: I have not told DH yet. I plan to do so this week through either the photo shoot or through the picture (if he is not able to be at the shoot). I am setting up a shoot with our LO in his police pedal car in his little police uniform I sewed him. With a sign leaning on his car that says “Every hero needs back-up.” Then setting up a fire truck pedal car, with a sign that reads “Staging. Due on-scene May 2015.” We are a first responder family (I am fire, DH is an officer). DH always jokes fire does nothing but “stage” and never comes on-scene. So this is a little play on his joke that fire stages forever before arriving on-scene. So that is the grand plan, if I do not spill the news to him in the meantime.

Symptoms: Mainly sore boobs. They feel heavy. Surprisingly not too much else. I have been trying to play it cool and not pay attention to each thing, since I pretty much wrote off this cycle a week ago.

ETA : DH officially knows and was very surprised! Loved the photo session and my idea. His first reply was "Did you get an appointment?" He too is nervous of another miscarriage. But definitely excited!
