Not TTCR: recommend your phone

I currently have a Driod4 that has a streak down the screen from dropping it into a cup of coffee and the back is being held on with duct tape (seriously, I'm that much of a klutz). I didn't overly like the phone before it got, um..."customized" and I am looking into my next phone as my contract is up 9/30. Any suggestions on good phones or advice on ones to avoid?

    I'm an IPhone lover, had the 4s now have the 5s. I like that we can sinc our pads and phones.
    Most Droid uses don't like IPhones for some reason, but you didnt like yours anyway :)

    I love my galaxy S3.  I have not used the 4 or 5, but I have not had any problems with S3 and I got it free from Verizon.  DH has had issue with his Droid Razr HD Maxx that he never had with his iphone.  He liked his iphone okay, but he had a few issues with his, but it was an original one his company supplied back in 2011.

    I have a Motorola Droid Ultra.  I've been generally very happy with it.  The only thing I don't care for is the "Active Notifications" feature, which causes the screen to light up and show the time and icons for any waiting notifications every time it senses motion - I find it distracting.  On a side note, you should definitely buy an Otterbox when you get your new phone.  They are the best cases out there (pricey, but worth it) - I drop my phone and spill things on it on a very regular basis, and I have never had any damage.  Good luck phone shopping!

    I have the Galaxy 4s and I like it. I also have an iPhone 4 for work. They are different and going back and forth was a challenge at first, but now it is easy. I think either platform works well.

    I think my husband is leaning towards a Galaxy. Generally I don't really care about what type of phone I have but I am thinking about the iphone. I joke around that I am always one step behind what everyone else has. Had a flip phone when everyone moved on to andriods, had a blackberry when everyone moved on to iphones. Got a droid when everyone moved on to the galaxy. Clearly, I don't know how to be technologically hip.

    I'm not at all technologically hip, either.  I have an iPhone, but it's an older one.  I like it, though, and would recommend (a newer) one.

    I have a Samsung Galaxy S4 and love it.  I hear great things about Moto X, G and E, and they all look excellent for the price.  

    The new iPhone is supposed to come out on September 9 (add a couple of weeks for it to properly hit stores).

    If you want the best value, I think the Moto E should be amazing, but the camera isn't great, and it might be a touch slower than the pricier models.

    Also, Nexus 5 is great for the price.  (Nexus 6 may also be around the corner.)
