9 weeks and boobs haven't started growing yet? Anyone else?

My nipples have been sore since day one, but I keep reading that boobs should start growing and mine haven't. Every little thing makes me nervous, so I'm like hmm is there a problem or is it too early lol!

Re: 9 weeks and boobs haven't started growing yet? Anyone else?

  • Every pregnancy is different for every woman, so you may not experience some of the symptoms.

That being said, I'm 12 weeks and my boobs have not grown either.

Your boobs may not grow at all until your milk comes in. Symptoms aren't indicative of a healthy pregnancy.

    Your not you're. Face palm.
  • I feel like this belongs in the symptoms thread.
Also, freaking out over ever. Single. Thing. Is going to make for a pretty miserable pregnancy.
Unless you are bleeding significantly or your arm is chopped off, stop worrying. Or call your OB. She gets paid to answer these kinda of questions.

  • Mine didn't grow at all until my milk came in. Try not to sweat the small stuff! :)

  • Really?? At 9 weeks your boobs haven't grown and you are worried? Most people don't see a lot of growth until their milk comes in...ya know, after birth, many many months from now.

Every pregnancy is different and symptoms vary person to person and day to day. Nothing to worry about.
  • On a non pregnant day I have 34DD boobs. So naturally when I got pregnant I became worried that they would balloon up to circus tit size instantly and keep growing for ever after. I have been VERY happy to find that while they have become fuller and heavier, I can still fit normally into my regular bras. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that this holds out for as long as possible!!

  • No changes here either. They didn't grow at all with DS until my milk came in, then they were only about a cup size bigger. They now look exactly the same as they did before I had a baby.
  • mine grew a bit and were sore the first month, but have since stopped and I am completely ok with that.

pre pregnancy my boobs were a 38DD.  not looking forward to the massive sore milk filled boobs to come.

  • Your boobs may grow as your body prepares to make milk but every womans different and your boobs might not grow until the babies born when your milk comes in. Theres no rule that if your boobs dont grow, you're not healthy. Its just a common symptom.
  • Ditto to what everyone already said about every pregnancy being different. If you want anecdotal evidence, mine grew slightly in the first few weeks but stopped and I'm still in my original bras at 11 weeks.
  • That alone is not cause for alarm. My breasts were sore and a bit swollen right away but they have not grown much at all. In fact there are some days where I feel as though I'm not filling my bra as much.
  • I just want to say that I'm so jealous of everyone's boobs. I'm an E/F and growing and would gladly trade!! Lol
  • I honestly don't want mine to grow. I have DD's already. I don't want to have to get new bras etc., but I know several women who were a whole other cup size by 8 weeks and I haven't experienced it at all. Just wanted to see if it was normal not to grow bigger at this point. Thanks for your responses.
