Re: Pregnancy Check-in August 18
Made a baby purchase this weekend...2 actually. Diaper bag and a 4 pack of bibs! Couldn't resist! Left tags on everything just in case. We really wanted a Winnie the Pooh theme and found an adorable pooh diaper bag! Snatched it up as they only had 1 and had never seen that particular one and loved it. Neutral colors so we are boy/girl fine.
Qotw: we will keep our SUV. Kia sorento. Wish I had the 3rd row like my last one, but we should be fine. Just worried about traveling with dogs.
Our family blog

New and exciting news? Moved into our new apartment this weekend! Trying to get organized still but happy to have more space to get ready for babies
Qotw: What type of vehicle will you transport your multiples in? We just bought a Chevy Equinox a few weeks ago. We'll probably get a larger SUV in a few years to replace my husband's car.
How are you feeling? Tired and sore and ready to meet these guys in 5 weeks!
Dr. Appointment updates? None this week!
New and exciting news? Just finished the nursery last weekend and am working on getting my hospital bag packed now.
Qotw: What type of vehicle will you transport your multiples in? (This seems to be a common question around here lately) I have a Toyota Highlander we will use. We will move my toddler to the center and forward face him and will able able to get the twins in on the sides. It is paid for and between the kids and the dogs (we have 3 big ones) this car will be destroyed in short order. I can't imagine myself paying for a new(ish) car to have them trash it in the next few years. When they boys all get a little bigger, we will upgrade, but for a little as we travel (we rent cars for traveling anyway) I can't justify the expense. And I still haven't been able to convince myself I will drive a minivan. I am sure one day I will trade my left arm for one, just not there yet

We are settling my car ( 2008 Hyundai elantra) and buying H's company car from the company (2012 toyota highlander). I'm not sure what H will end up driving, we should be figuring that out soon.
12+6
How are you feeling?
Starting to feel more normal again. Eating is getting better and a bit less tired.
Dr. Appointment updates?
I think I posted last week that I had my 12 week u/s. It was great. Next week I seey OB again. And tomorrow I have an appt with my therapist to discuss a game plan for if I get PPD again.
New and exciting news:
Nothing really.
Qotw: What type of vehicle will you transport your multiples in? (This seems to be a common question around here lately)
I have a ford escape that we are going to make work. I think I will have to get 3 radians. Dh has a truck so his will be okay to use our current seats plus one more.
Feeling good...too good to have babies anytime soon!
I have had weekly NST and the girls are doing great!
I have another appointment on Friday to make a birth plan and schedule an induction day for next week!
How are you feeling? Mostly ok - some days I get sciatica pain and radiating pain/numbness down 1 or both legs. Obviously get tired pretty easily, but considering - pretty decent
Dr. Appointment updates? At a/s 2 wks ago, found out 2 girls! As well as both have choroid plexus cysts on their brains. I've calmed down and feel good that it's nothing to freak out about!
New and exciting news? Not too much! Best friend is planning my shower for Oct 4th & we are going to Amelia Island next month!
QOTW: in my perfect world a Honda Pilot - we definitely have to purchase new car as neither of our will fit 3 car seats!
How are you feeling? Still exhausted- is this going to end?
Dr. Appointment updates? Not until 16 weeks
Not sure what kind of car we will get- I will have 4 under 3 and even a minivan doesn't seem to be convenient. Once I put rearfacing seats in the middle- it is no longer practical to get to the back. It is one of my biggest stressors right now. I am taking a day off next week from work to car shop.
How are you feeling? Tired, swollen feet, hard to walk with lots of pelvic pain. I am so done with being pregnant!
Dr. Appointment updates? We start this week with our weekly BPP/Non stress test scans with our MFM. I have a dr appt on Monday which I hope to schedule my c-section. And if one more person tells me to let them cook, I may scream. I realize they need to get bigger but I can still state how uncomfortable I am.
New and exciting news? We are in the process of finishing the nursery! I can't wait to have it done!
Qotw: What type of vehicle will you transport your multiples in? (This seems to be a common question around here lately) We have a Chrysler Town and Country. I have been driving it since March for just myself but it has definitely come in handy for some of our summer plans.
QOTW- We traded our Honda Civic for an Odyssey last week so we'll be riding around in that and my CRV for now. Hate to have 2 car payments again but the Civic just wasn't going to hold 3 kids, 2 adults plus gear.
How are you feeling? Huge and uncomfortable, lots of pelvic pain, and I itch all the time. I can't wait to be done being pregnant, 6 more weeks.
Dr appointment updates? Go to the Dr on Friday.
New and exciting news? Nope just waiting to meet these 3 miracles
Qotw: we are going to use my forte at the beginning but plan to trade my husband's sports car for an Oddesey.
How are you feeling? I'm really tired. Also, this weekend, I started having mild pubic bone pain/discomfort when I walk. It doesn't really feel like pressure and isn't all the time. Does this sound like a normal pregnancy thing? I was thinking it seems a bit like SPD, but I wasn't positive. Thanks!!
Dr. Appointment updates? I had an ultrasound on Thursday. Baby boy is measuring 2 pounds 8 ounces and baby girl is measuring 2 pounds 12 ounces. Both babies looked great. I see my doctor on Monday.
New and exciting news? We have cribs!
Qotw: What type of vehicle will you transport your multiples in? The tentative plan is a Honda Odyssey. We still need to purchase that.
How are you feeling? I don't know how much more of this I can take.
Dr. Appointment updates? OB in a week (36w), MFM in 2 weeks (37w)
New and exciting news? At the last appointment, MFM said she will recommend to the OB to induce at 38 weeks. I'm trying to negotiate this to 39 weeks, but we'll see. Either way, it's getting real.
Qotw: What type of vehicle will you transport your multiples in? (This seems to be a common question around here lately) At first, they'll be in a Chevy Malibu with me, then when I go back to work, my husband will have them in an Isuzu Trooper. I would like to buy a bigger SUV with a 3rd row, but it's not in the budget right now.
How are you feeling? I am tired and been having a lot of Braxton hicks.
Dr. Appointment updates? I have an u/s tomorrow. I am nervous that with all the Braxton hicks I have been having he is going to pull me out of work shortly.
New and exciting news? I had my first day with students in my new classroom today.
Qotw: What type of vehicle will you transport your multiples in? We just bought a Honda odessy a week ago. I didn't want to get rid of my Ford escape, but we couldn't fit 3 car seats in it.
How are you feeling? Overall good except for expected tiredness
Dr. Appointment updates? On weekly appts now since GD diagnosis and BP issues, babies good, though
New and exciting news? Just ready to meet them. These last few weeks are d r a g g i n g.
Qotw: What type of vehicle will you transport your multiples in? We love our Toyota Highlander. Fits our two older boys and plenty of room for babies plus their paraphernalia lol
How are you feeling? Ok. We just got back from a trip to NYC so I'm feeling pretty exhausted (lot more walking than I'm use to doing). Heartburn is still kicking my butt & appears to be getting worse - middle of night and now in the morning so I'm going to ask the doctor about something besides tums.
Dr. Appointment updates? Have my next appointment on Wed. Glucose test.
New and exciting news? My husband posted a picture of us with my belly in NYC on Facebook so now everybody knows. I just couldn't contain the proud papa anymore. I think he wanted to get a picture out before one of his family memebers posted something from the wedding we were attending.
QOTW: What type of vehicle will you transport your multiples in? If we had money we'd get at least one new car but that is probably 9 - 12 months away. I drive a Honda Accord and he drives a Saturn Vue so we will be making them work.

New and exciting news? They are both moving a ton.
Qotw: What type of vehicle will you transport your multiples in? (This seems to be a common question around here lately)
We bought a honda oddessey after we found out we are expecting twins. We already have a 3 yr old and I really want the option of being able to take extra people with us. My previous SUV sat 5.
How are you feeling? Not terrible, not great. Just kind of in-between at the moment. Sleep is difficult right now, but I'm managing.
Dr. Appointment updates? Anatomy scan is on Sept. 3rd! We're so excited and hoping that Baby A cooperates so we can find out if he is a he or she is a she!
New and exciting news? My baby shower has been scheduled! We are having it the first weekend of October. I'll be 24 weeks and some change by then. Its a bit early, but both of my grandparents are "snow birds" and they leave for the south a week before Halloween and I wanted my grandma's to be able to come.

Two Boys! Born January 2015 @36 weeks. Healthy and no NICU! So blessed!
The last 2 days my stomach has been painful. Different than usual stretching feeling. Going for u/s tomorrow!
Feeling great had to go to urgent care Sunday because I have increasingly painful butt pain to the point of immobility. Diagnosis was pinched nerve, prescribed 6 day pack of steroids, feels so nice to be able to walk upright again!
We found on Friday that our twins are girls (mono/di). So excited, that will make 3 DD for us so of course DH wants his boy in a few years.
Exciting news, we got married last Thursday at a courthouse in North Carolina with my parents as our witnesses, you can see a pic in my siggy.
Right now driving a 2010 Jeep compass, so just enough space for DD and the babies when they arrive, probably won't be trading it in for at least another year or so, can't afford it, so we'll make it work.
Bringing them both home...UPDATE...The girls are home!!! 1/7/15 after 20 days in the NICU!
How far along are you?
21w 5d
How are you feeling?
Great! Growing belly, and I can feel the babies now
Dr. Appointment updates?
U/s today, babies look awesome and active! My placenta is nice and away from my cervix now so my mfm said she thinks I should be able to deliver vaginally
New and exciting news?
H is getting his entire MBA program paid for so we don't need to take out any student loans for it!
Qotw: What type of vehicle will you transport your multiples in? (This seems to be a common question around here lately)
We're planning on buying a Honda pilot. I drive a little tin can (Chevy aveo) and h does not believe it's safe. I agree!

Dr. Appointment updates? Going to weekly appointments starting on Sept 2nd. Cervix looks great at 4cm so OB is hopeful I will make his goal of 37 weeks.
New and exciting news? Put together our Joovy Twin Roo and put the car seats on it. That was pretty exciting. We also bought a minivan (honda odyssey). All of the newborn clothes are washed and hanging up. Hospital bag is packed. And breast pump ordered through insurance. For the most part everything is set. Just waiting on the babies now.
