I didn't see a "Monday" post, so I figured I'd start one. All I'm seeing are birth stories!

Still pregnant. Will finally see my girl on Thursday. She was still heads up last Thursday so we're definitely having the c-section. I can't believe it's happening so soon!

I may still have up to 2 weeks since my edd is on Saturday. At this point, august is just the longest month everrrr lol.

I'm really sick of pumping and wish I could shrink my nipples so the baby could latch. I feel like a cow all day long and I'm missing bonding time.

At least she's getting breast milk, right?!

My mom left this weekend and DH is back at work today. My first day alone with DD2! I will survive!

First full day home from the hospital. DH and my mom are getting DD ready for daycare while I'm lying in bed next to DS. Lots of sore muscles from the physical effort of giving birth but happy to be home with our baby boy. Looking forward to napping today!

Good luck @MsGrace2003. I still sent DD1 to daycare today so I've only got one to deal with. Hope your weight check goes well. Ours was on friday and I felt so relieved after learning she gained.

Do you pumping ladies use manual or electric? Or both? I have an eletric but I'm wondering if i should get a manual too.

I feel the same...human cow.it really sucks since she gets bottles st night and is confused by the first 2 morn feeds

Can I post a bitch?

DH told his family it would be okay to visit and meet the baby before our due date. I wasn't pleased at the idea of having to play host three weeks after giving birth, but OK. But when my dd passed, I told him I just didn't think I'd be up to it. Ultimately we came to an agreement— if baby came before last Friday, they could visit. If she didn't, then they couldn't visit either. Obviously, no baby yet.

He didn't call.

We have a tentative induction scheduled for tomorrow, but my ob didn't sound positive it would work. So now it sounds like there's a good chance I could end up with a c/s on Wednesday (if the induction fails) AND potential hosting family 10 days later.

DH may be losing testicles when he wakes up (he switched back to overnights so he's currently sleeping).

Electric all the way. Manual pumps are pita. Knock on wood, but we haven't had any nipple confusion with bottles and boob. He gets maybe one or two bottles a day when I need a break and handles both like a champ, although I know he prefers the boob.

My MIL arrived on Sunday. Shes just sitting around with no offer to help me with anything! Lady, I am almost 40 weeks pregnant! Didn't you offer DH to come and give me a hand? Isn't that why we paid for your flight here? DH said he doesn't want to ask her to do anything because he doesn't want her to feel like she's "our maid". WTF??!!! And he wants her to stay for a month! God help me!
This is her first grandchild so I know she wants to be here for the experience but it's been two days and I feel like I'm going to lose it. I don't need house guests.

Side note: I just got a notice in the mail that she also got a ticket on my commuter car that I let her drive when she visited last month for the baby shower. She never mentioned the parking ticket or offered to pay for it. Grrrrrrrrrrrr!

You can bet your ass I'd leave that notice in the mail RIGHT SMACK DAB where she can see it, along with the envelope she'll need to remit the payment in. And I wouldn't let that crap go either. Because that's so incredibly RUDE to borrow someone's car, and get a ticket in it and then not pay for it. What in the ever lovin' hell?!

Also, your DH needs to grow a pair and tell her that she needs to help out some. Seriously. A load of dishes goes a LOOOOONG way to helping out. Toss in a load of laundry. SOMETHING productive instead of sitting on one's ass eating bon-bons.

Good for you!! It's his mother, HE can handle it, and he SHOULD have handled it the moment that sucker turned up in the mail.

But seriously; if I was your MIL, I personally would feel uncomfortable, and probably would have mentioned the ticket when I got it initially and made an offer to pay for it when it turned up, not hidden it. That's just skeevy, IMHO.
