I told DH I get 12 months post baby to get back into shape. I love my pre-pg clothes and I'm a competitive horse rider so this is important to me. Mid-sentence he cut me off and said "6 months". UGH-I think it was after he saw my ass in white pants at the maternity store yesterday...they shouldn't even SELL white mat pants.

My DH hasn't given me an ultimatum...yet! I want to get back into shape pretty quickly like you, but since I don't even know what I'm working with yet (weightloss-wise, work-wise, sleep-wise, etc.), I'll just wait and see!

my feeling is... it takes 9 months to gain the weight, so it will take time to take it all off. I am not putting a time limit on myself... I don't want to add any stress plus I am planning on breast feeding and won't be able to diet. By the way, if my DH gives me a time limit... we just might have a little problem.

Was he being serious? I would smack DH if he said that to me! Each person is different - it might take you a couple mos, it might take you a year. I think it's lame he put a deadline on it. He's not the one carrying the baby and who's whole body is changing from it.

Hmmmm, I guess I shoulda worked harder lol. I was still-15-20lb's up from my pre-pg weight when I got my BFP and DS was almost 6 months. Sheesh.

I feel the same way and I'll also be BFing. If DH said that and didn't have some kind of joking face or chuckle after wards I may have throat punched him on the spot. Just my reaction.

Wow. lol. I haven't set a time limit, but I'm hoping to go way under my prepregnancy weight. I know if I don't lose the weight after this baby, I never will. I have always been overweight, and I want to be able to live for my kids!

yeah my dh would never say anything like that. ?in fact i think he's all about the weight gain. ?my porno boobs are a nice surprise for him plus he's a butt guy as is, so he's really living this up and i think he'll be heartbroken when i'm back to my normal size lol. ?

i really hope that this post and these DH's giving ultimatums are said in jest.... otherwise- I feel bad for y'all who have DH's who care that much about how you look.

Just when i finally lost all my preg weight- i got pg again with twins- so much for that!!!! DH never once complained - and never would. Nor would I if he gained some chub... As long as we are both healthy- a little extra chunk doesn't bother either of us.

He is usually absolutely wonderful...I posted this because it was really shocking to me also. I always tell him how he needs to work out more so I guess I deserve it (?). I have no idea where his comment came from.

But what we can learn from this post is don't make the same mistake as me...don't even go near white or cream pants right now...ah!
