Finding Time for Exercise

I am a mom of two, and I know how difficult it can be to find time for exercise and nutrition - especially if you hold any type of job outside of your normal home responsibilities.  I have been in the fitness industry for 18 years, and I'm certified through various organizations. I'm also a Master Trainer for Insanity, Turbo Kick and PiYo Live.  I am here to offer my knowledge to anyone who may need guidance or have questions regarding nutrition tips, exercise programs, organizational tips, etc.  Please let me know if there's anything that I can help with.

  • Wow, sorry that I offended you.  And for your information, I wasn't promoting my "beachbody crap."  Have a nice day!
  • Hi, my question is, what are some of the more creative ways your working mom clients find time to work out? Also, what are some good exercises that give a high ROI for us busy moms? Any links to examples that you have would be great. Thanks!
  • For an honest actual answer that isn't promoting something I am selling...

High Intensity Interval Training will give you more bang for your buck in regards to getting the most out of a shorter workout.

You can do it at home.  YouTube is a great source as is iTunes or Google Play.  Be sure to mix cardio and strength.

Agree. @esappington , you can find a ton of 20-30 minute HIIT workouts on Youtube and Pinterest. I love HIIT. I also have my son join in with me when I do yoga videos, he loves getting his own mat and rolling around and attempting poses. It at least keeps him interested enough to be in the same room as me for 20-30 minutes.

  • Yes, teach your child yoga and pilates and they will join you.  It makes working out accomplishable at home.

I made up the word accomplishable apparently.
  • Thank you ladies! I found some good HIIT workouts and did some off of Fitness Blender, a very cool site. All of the videos are free, definitely worth the check out. Thanks for the advice.
  • I LOVE FITNESSBLENDER.  They have the best workout videos!
