I am in need of any advice possible. I've been EBF since birth and I'm trying to switch her to a bottle. I've tried introducing different bottles (I've used : munchkin latch, Philips Avent, nuk natural) and NOTHING!! i've recently tried the premixed Similac that comes with the nipple and at first it seemed promising, however it's still nada!! She only wants my breast. I've had her uncle try, SIL, MIL my mother and sister try. I've tried being out of the room and different times of day. Please, can anyone help? Has anyone else dealt with this? I'm at my witts end here..

I don't have much advice, but if you're still willing to experiment with different bottles, I've found that the Playtex Ventaire seem to be the closest match to my breasts. So LO prefers that bottle over any other. However, I never really struggled giving him a bottle, period. He took to it pretty quickly. Sorry I couldn't be more help! Good luck.

My first was a boob addicted and never took a bottle, no matter what we tried. Once we started introducing solids though we started giving a sippy cup with breast milk and that worked better. You could maybe just try skipping the bottle all together. I mean it took him forever to drink what was in the sippy but he would and I knew he wasn't starving when I wasn't there.

I second trying different temps for the milk. DD would only drink enough to keep from being hungry if we didn't warm her bottle enough.

And throwing formula into the mix is just going to make the whole bottle situation more foreign to your LO. I'd go with just breast milk in the bottle to start.

When I had the same problem after EBFing, I realized most bottles come with slow flow.... by this age, the milk comes out of the breast pretty quick and baby is able to handle it... I realized the nipple on the bottle was way too slow and it was so frustrating to him that he would suck a few times, barely get anything and then refuse to use the bottle... I changed the nipple to medium/fast and he took to the bottle. Try that.

The premixed Similac had a nipple that she seemed to like at first. My MIL also suggested the Playtex bottle and we tried cereal with her today! She took to the cereal fairly well! Thank you all for the suggestions!!

My DD was picky about bottles but ended up taking the Tommee Tippee ones no problem. She doesn't have them very often since she's usually with me, but when I need to work or go out she's been doing great with them.
