I feel so heartbroken for all of the ladies who have been going through such a rough time with their SO that I just feel the need to give mine a shout out. I want these lovely ladies to know that things can get better, but if you are not being treated the way you should be there is an amazing man out there that will give you the world. I was in an abusive relationship before I met my fiancé and I know how hard it can be to walk away. My fiancé has been so amazing with this pregnancy. He works 40 hours a week to my 15 hours and still rubs my feet, runs out to get me what I am craving, and has even shaved my legs for me now that it has gotten too hard. I just appreciate him so much and I feel he deserves a shout out. So ladies, what amazing thing has your man done for you lately?

My DH worked his ass off putting together nursery furniture, redoing the patio and painting all with a smile on his face. He has been so good-natured when picking up the extra slack.

My DH is a super introvert but he bought cookies and made it out to a picnic today just so he could meet other medical school spouses. He came back with lots of info on this area and new ideas for how to support me and baby when school starts again. I'm so proud of him and how much effort he puts into our little family.

My sweet husband deserves all sorts of props. He is always doing everything he can to make things perfect. He is so loving and attentive to me and our son. He gets home before me, so when I get there, dinner is ready. We alternate bedtime so we can both have some time to ourselves every other night.

He just spent all weekend building a big boy bed for our toddler since we need the crib for the new baby.

There is so much more. He is just the best husband! After being emotionally abused by my first husband, I know what a blessing this one is!

MH has been so amazing. I feel so secure about bringing this baby into the world with him. Everyday, he makes sure that I am comfortable and happy. I really of love him with all of my heart. :x

I love this threads too! But my heart does break for those who are going through some rough areas in life!

I have to brag on my hubby because he is so good to our girls! He will play babies, little people and even barbies! Whatever they want to play he is right there with them! Tonight I wasn't feeling good after the oldest DD's open house for school, he cooked dinner and made sure I was as comfortable as I could be! (Not really wanting to be touched right now) but made sure I had everything I could possibly need! Never had to get off the couch/bed!! Love my man!!

Maybe it's the sleep deprivation but I am way more emotional right now than I have been in the past and I just cried reading these. I'm so happy people have happy stories to share and not just the venting and the bitchfests (although they are fun.) I'm really really missing my husband and I don't want to wait two more months to see him. I appreciate that he's working but I forgot how hard it is to run the house and work full time and make drastic changes in a child's life like big boy bed and potty training. It really makes me cherish the time we do actually get to spend together. He's a wonderful man with a heart full of love and I cannot wait to see his amazing smile walk through the door.

My great DH spent his weekend painting the nursery and putting together the furniture and the arranging it how I wanted. He does 98% of dishes and cooking right now and is always making sure I have what I need. He's amazing!

My husband sends me an email every morning, no matter how tired he is. That might not seem like much, but when his only free time is a 6 hour block when he sleeps, and our only form of communication is email, it's the highlight of my day. He writes in every email how proud he is of me, keeping up with the house, and taking care of the dogs, and earning extra money when I can. But most of all, I love that he is so excited to be a dad! He can't wait to get home and be here to see me grow, and be home for the first few weeks of our baby's life!
Ah, I can't wait until I can actually hear his voice and kiss his lips!

DH works so hard around the house on top of working 60-70 hour weeks and takes care of me and the house since I have been feeling yuck lately.. He's amazing!

I love reading these. Although MH is not here physically (deployed) he always emails and calls as much as he can. He is very concerned with everything going on with the pregnancy and day to day life. He is very excited to meet his new son. I know if he were here I wouldn't have to lift a finger if I didn't want to. He works so hard and will always make time to take care of me in whatever way I need. He never forgets to tell me how beautiful I am and how amazing it is that I am creating life within me. I know that sounds cheesy but we are cheesy kinda people. I love that man so much.

My husband is amazing also! He is working so hard that I can stay home with our LO. He picks up any slack around the house when I'm having low days. He sticks up for me and is constantly telling me what a great job I'm doing with growing our baby. And he calms my anxieties perfectly. I'm so in love with him and so glad our little man gets to learn how to be a man from him. I feel totally honored to be the one by his side!

I'm a stay at home mom, my SO works 40+ hours a week. He does the dishes every other night, makes DD breakfast and packs her lunch every morning, and gives me a head to toe rubdown after the shower most nights. He is amazeballs and I am ridiculously lucky to have him :x .

H busts his ass for us. He puts DS to bed every night and he's been a total rock star this pregnancy. He's totally picked up my slack in all regards. And he doesn't bitch about the lack of sex at all. He loves feeling the baby move and he rubs my butt and back nightly when the sciatica gets to be too much. He hasn't missed one doctors appointment yet and has rearranged his work schedule around them. I love the shit out of that man. I'm so beyond lucky that I have him and that my children have him as their father.

I unexpectedly lost my job early in my pregnancy and DH has never once complained and I know he has so much extra weight on his shoulders. He works 50 hours a week and is working towards a promotion and then when he's home he never sits still. Hes constantly working on projects around our house, picking me up anything I ask for, and giving me a daily back run even when I know he's tired and doesn't want. He has not missed one dr appt or one opportunity to feel baby move. At least once a week when I have a tough day or am sick/sore he says " thank you so much for giving us a baby,..you are doing something I would never be strong enough to do and I'm so proud of you" and it melts my heart everytime.

I say everyday that I don't know how I got so lucky to find such an amazing man. He is too good to me.

He's the most incredible person I know. He has spent this entire pregnancy taking care of my every need. Back rubs, foot rubs, cooking, cleaning, running around with the kids, telling me I am beautiful and how much he loves me, taking them to the park so I can nap, pretending to care about every single adorable piece of baby clothing I bring into the house (lol), and even sitting in "just that exact position" on the couch so that he is supporting my sore back.

On top of it all he is the best Dad ever. He is patient and kind, and somehow manages to walk that fine line between being their best pal and teaching them to be accountable, responsible human beings.

Love him.

This comes after many, many years of terrible relationships which included verbal and physical abuse, among other things. It feels very good to be on this side of the fence. So for all of the ladies in a not so hot relationship, please know that it can be so much better!

Love this thread! My DH is perfect...he was doing all the dishes before I was pregnant, and now he does even more of the cleaning. He was so excited to put the nursery together that it was almost done in one day. Most importantly, he always tells me how beautiful I am, how amazing my belly is, how great a mom I already am, and how i need to eat more ;-)

It's nice to read about everyone's DH/SO being so sweet to them. Knowing that there are others here who are not experiencing this and are struggling, I don't feel the need to share. I kind of feel like it's rubbing in those who are less fortunate's face. I know this thread wasn't meant to do that, it's just the way I feel.
