Hiya ladies! How is everyone?
How old is your squishy now?
Is anyone getting to sleep during the night time hours?
Vents/celebrations/questions?
Recent pics you'd like to AW?
DD is 6 weeks, 3 days. We had quite the fussy periods last week, but the last couple days have been a little better. She does one longer stretch about 4 hours at night, then does 2-3 hours ones. I'm sleeping, but always tired from the lack of consecutive sleep. My biggest vents would come from having to juggle a moody toddler and unpredictable newborn. All in all, we're surviving.
The doctor said her head is normal so I guess I had my first FTM freak out. Oh well, better safe than sorry.
Gabby is doing similar to yours @mrscurlygurl, I'm working on the EASY schedule with her, today is day two so hopefully we can both settle into something regular.
My biggest vent is that people keep telling me to let her cry it out, including the nurse practitioner at my pediatricians office. My husband insists that the only reason I refuse is because I'm an over protective first time Mom. Well I'm not changing my mind. I will rock her to sleep and if all else fails I will nurse her to sleep but if won't let her cry, she's too young. Ok vent over
Have a great week ladies!
Pic is of Gabby glaring at me for waking her up. Haha!
I honestly think that she would sleep through the night if we let her but I still have to wake her up every 2-3 hours to feed her because she hasn't gained that much weight yet.
Vents--had to give up drinking milk because it was going into the breast milk and giving her really bad gas. She is also ALWAYS hungry!!
Celebrations--we saw an LC this week because we were worried that she had only gained 3oz in 2 weeks and she helped us so much! Turns out DD wasn't latching deep enough so she caused my supply to decrease because she wasn't draining the breast fully each time. The LC helped us to get a deeper latch and showed me some tips to getting her to empty the breast fully and to increase my milk supply.
Here is her today after we took her for a walk to calm her down:

Dylan is 6.5 weeks old. We're all doing great! Dylan is starting to sleep 4-6 hours at a time, which is nice, since DS1 started to STTN at 5 weeks. I'm trying to get into a feeding and sleeping routine since I go back to work on sept. 2. DH has been awesome at getting up with him when he does wake up at night. I think we've found our balance as a family, and it's nice to go out with both kids every once in a while. Dylan loves to sit up in the boppy, it's pretty much the only thing we use it for.
I started EP and haven't been producing enough to satisfy my little lady, so we started supplementing and I finally have a happy baby!!! That combined with gas drops has made a world of difference.
She still pretty much just eats and sleeps, but is starting to have longer wakeful periods. Ad we love our snuggle time!
At night, she's sleeping 5-6 hours after we put her in her crib. Last night she actually went almost 7 hours. It was GLORIOUS!!!
JillyBean was 6 weeks on Thursday, and we're getting some longer stretches at night. I'm EP-ing which allows me to go to bed earlier in the evening and DH handles the feeding that happens at 10pm or 11pm depending on the night. Her next feeding that I do is at 3:30-4:30a so it's not horrific.

Sadie is one month tomorrow! I have the onesie sticker and a lot of free time for a photo shoot tomorrow, so that's fun.
We had our first brush with inconsolable, fussy baby last night. I used my 5 S's and brought her into the nursery after about 3 hours of rocking, shushing, cuddling, feeding, and praying to baby gods with no effect, and she slept for 5 whole hours. I felt incredible this morning. We spent the day visiting friends, which was wonderful, but now I'm exhausted.
This is the picture I took for the baby book's "first bath". I didn't realize there was a page for that until now, so I just snapped a picture to put in. It's blurry, but I love it.
Elias is 3 weeks 3 days old now. We are in the Purple Period so sometimes he cries and I can't fix it which depresses me. Last week I think I cried as much as he did. He also has bad gas so I'm giving up drinking milk as well, to see if that helps. He still has gas discomfort but not as bad as last week. Going to call his doc tomorrow to see if I can give him Colic Calm when it's really bad. As far as sleep, he shocked us by sleeping 5 hours straight the past 2 nights. I freaked out and kept checking to make sure he was okay. Before anyone gets super jealous, he hasn't been napping much during the day so this is ALL the good rest he and I get most days. I wish he would be able to nap better during the day. I also wish The Bump would allow iPads to put breaks in posts.
