TTC after 35

Intro

Hello, I thought I would officially introduce myself. I am 35 and TTC as a single mother by choice. I have PCOS and mild endo. I had IUI in 2011 BFN. Had HSG and was told tubes are blocked. Went into depression until I kicked myself in the rear! I met with new RE in July he sent for HSG which showed my tubes are now perfectly clear!! Whoo hoo! So this Wednesday I have a required meeting with psychologist to make sure I am "good to go" to use donor sperm. Then on the 26th I go back to RE to get game plan for next step! I am nervous and excited. Not sure if IUI is up or IVF. Unfortunately finances do play a role. Anyway, just wanted to say hello and say thank you for all the great posts.

Re: Intro

  • Welcome!  I admire you so much going for what you want.  I always said I would do the same because I've always wanted to be a mom.  I happened to meet my husband when I was 36, but I wonder if I would have had the guts to do it alone.  I'd like to think I would have.  I look forward to hearing about your journey (and @thirtyninetoforty too).

  • I think it is awesome when women decide to go forward on their own. We're all responsible for our own dreams, right? Good luck! :)
