VERY IMPORTANT poll about pillows

Do you use a pillow at night? ALL night? Is there ever a time when having no pillow is acceptable during your slumber?

My H and I were having this debate last night. I only use my pillow for like 1/2 the night. The other half, I just sleep on the mattress, completely flat. He thinks that's weird. I say it's more common than he thinks.

So what say you, F14? How do you sleep?

Re: VERY IMPORTANT poll about pillows

  • I need it all night, but my H frequently ends up without one. I never understood it.

  • I need my pillow all night. DH likes to put his arm under my pillow and it makes me nuts. I get very agitated when he disrupts my pillow. Remember the princess and the pea?

  • I use a pillow all night, but sometimes it's just my forehead on the pillow and the rest of my head on the mattress.
@dreamingbabies - so...you are kind of face down into the mattress? How do you BREATHE?

Mine completely depends on my sleeping position. I fall asleep on my stomach, which means NO pillow. But then later I move to my side, and want my pillow back. Annoying for anyone sharing a bed with me. ;-)

  • Dude, who selected, "...click if you want to see results." How do you not have a vote about pillows? Not even "ss"?

I use a pillow all night long. When I'm pregnant I use approx 50 pillows all night long.

YES. Mine does this too. I'm constantly shoving his arm out from under my pillow during the night.
I may pinch anything that is under my pillow 'in my sleep' ;;) Magically it stopped being a problem for me. I don't miss the neck issues from invading arm-ies.

  • I am a belly sleeper, but still require a pillow. My head is turned to the side, with a pillow sandwiched between my head and my arm. I can't not have a pillow. I have tried (suggestion from my old chiro). Nope.

  • One pillow under my head, and it has to be the molded ergo type. Then also two feather pillows. One for between/under my knees (depending on whether I'm sleeping on my back or side), and the other for propping up my boobs when I'm on my side. Which is most of the time.
DH had better not steal my pillows or he is in big trouble!

I aggressively cuddle my pillow all night. It is mine and I will hold it and dh needs to stop trying to take it.
I'm this way with the blankets.
H/I solved this blanket issue by having our own.  We each have a quilt :D

I have a pillow, I know it by touch (compared to H's crappy pillow) and that pillow stays under my head all night.
