Crawling on hard surfaces... question.

We have wood floors throughout most of our house. We have a 5'x7" area rug in the living room and an 8'x10" area rug in the toy room.

DS2 is getting up on all 4's and rocking back and forth. I don't think it'll be too long until he'll start crawling.

What can help protect little knees on slick wood floors besides just pants? Any suggestions or ideas?

**We had carpet with DS1.

We use baby legs or pants. No more bare knees in our house - too many rug burns and scuffed knees.

Ok, 2nd question. Do they make different sizes in baby legs? We have a pair that are soccer patterned and they squeeze DS's thighs too much.

We had mostly tile in our last house. I originally thought I'd pad the whole world but once DS got to crawling it turned out he was totally fine zooming around on the tile with nothing over his knees.

The first floor of the new house is almost all tile too so I'm going to let DD get around bare legged as well. I'm sure she'll be fine as well.

@dunvilles‌ -baby legs have two sizes: newborn and one-size. If the leggings look like they could cover your forearm, it's prob one-size and the biggest option.

If you're looking for an excuse to buy baby legs, I'll back out, but we have entirely hardwood on the main level and DD1 had no issues when she started out sans pants. Her knees look worse now that she's a clumsy 3 year old!!

If you wanted you could see knee patches (like sweater elbow patches) in fun shapes to give extra knee protection. A little fusible interface would make it easy to do.

This exactly but a boy lol.

Babies don't need knee pads to crawl.
