Pumping fail and NFL game guidelines if going to game this year and EBF

First off....if anyone plans on attending an NFL game this year, know that bags have to be clear, and only purses of a certain size are allowed in!

I went to a preseason game last night with my dad. DS stayed home. So I decided I would just take my manual pump and pump when needed. I put everything in a string backpack. Well once we started to pull into the area of the stadium, I saw the signs about the bags. So I decided that I would just stop at a restaurant or shop and use their bathroom to pump before the game and then leave my stuff in the car and then pump when I got out. I knew we wouldn't stay the whole game so I figured I would be good. So I get to a bathroom and when I go to get out my pump and supplies, I realize I am missing parts! I packed in a hurry and didn't get it all. So I ended up having to hand express which took much longer! Luckily we only stayed until halftime so when I got home I used my electric pump for more relief. Definitely going to double check myself from now on!

    What about diaper bags?
    Diapers can be carried in a clear bag. Each member of a family, including children, would be allowed to carry an approved clear bag and a clutch purse into the stadium. That is a quite a bit of storage capacity.

    Yup, diapers are the only thing I put in my diaper bag.  Let's just hope my kid doesn't poop or need to eat.  It's just a good thing at 3 months she can carry her own bag.

    Good to know! We have season tickets to the Packers. Won't be bringing the babe tho - that does not sound like a good time. I plan on pumping in the car right before we head into the stadium and then again right after the game.

    Um wow.  Clearly a childless man made those completely sensible guidelines.  That's so thoughtful of them to let each baby carry their own clear bag of diapers since that's really all they need.

    I am going to an MLB baseball game at the end of the month, and I checked the stadium rules before deciding to go (with the baby).  They allow diaper bags and even have a breastfeeding room.  I don't know how well it will go, but at least they are making an actual attempt to be family-friendly.

    Go Pack Go! My dad also has season tickets, and it never crossed my mind to bring DS.
    Maybe it's just GB weather, but it doesn't seem like a great place to bring a baby. I'm really excited to bring him when he gets older though.
    Agreed! Not only does it get freezing starting in like, October, but the bleachers are crowded, people get rowdy (by people, I may or may not mean me), and beer gets spilled everywhere. And there's no way in hell my husband would let us leave before the game was over. Have you heard of Family Night? Every year they have a scrimmage (although this year it was just a practice) before the season starts and it's very kid friendly with fireworks afterwards. We will probably take DS to that when he's 3 or 4.
