Symptoms: trouble sleeping, back/hip/leg aches, congestion/bloody nose, frequent peeing, trouble breathing. I feel baby all the time now though!
ETA: how could I forget heartburn/acid reflux?! Zantac has basically become my new BFF.
Rants/AW/Appointments: I was told at my appt on wednesday that I gained 6.5lbs in 4 weeks and the MW was kind of berating me for it even though she said I'm still on track for healthy weight gain. She really rubbed me the wrong way :-/ I'm on every 2 week appts now, so next one is Aug 27.
GTKY: What baby-related item are you most excited to use when he/she finally arrives? I'm excited to try baby-wearing. I registered for a boba, moby, and baby k-tan and then I already bought a lillebaby for when he's bigger.
Symptoms: mid back pain, heartburn, some trouble sleeping due to the above, boob pain
Rants/AW/Appointments: appt this week, lots of baby kicks and rolls
GTKY: What baby-related item are you most excited to use when he/she finally arrives? I agree with @jessa1228 I'm excited to try baby wearing since I didn't with DS
Symptoms: ugh back pain and boob pain is atrocious!
Rants/AW/Appointments: baby is kicking and moving a lot which is so reassuring and fun to feel. We had a dr appt this week and the ob was very strange and awkward. It made for an uncomfortable appointment. Luckily, we have a different ob for all of our remaining appts.
GTKY: i am most excited to use his little blankets and clothes. We are so stocked with everything and i cant wait to see him in it all!
Symptoms: "Stabbed in the butt feeling" (aka sciatica) now and then, and "kicked in the crotch feeling" (aka SPD) a bit, too. Also feeling rather lazy after about 3 pm and I am needing to pee all the time, too. All in all, I think I am doing well.
Rants/AW/Appointments: Last MW appt was great. I am really happy with my new practice.
GTKY: What baby-related item are you most excited to use when he/she finally arrives? Hmmm.... Maybe my new stroller? The ones I had last time weren't great.
Symptoms: back pain, boob pain and my wonderful rash
Rants/AW/Appointments: my next appt is Aug 25 and we get an ultrasound! Can't wait to see my little guy.
GTKY: What baby-related item are you most excited to use when he/she finally arrives? I am not really sure. We don't have much so far except for the big items and clothes. I got this onesie that has a monster on the butt that I think is so cute
Symptoms: heartburn, constant peeing, not sleeping, no energy, constant Braxton hicks
Rants/AW/Appointments: I have an u/s and appt on Tuesday. I can't wait to see my little boys
GTKY: What baby-related item are you most excited to use when he/she finally arrives? I can't wait to use all the baby stuff, but probably the cradle my grandpa made for me and Dr also slept in. I'm not sure how it will work with twins though. MIL did offer to let us borrow SIL baby cradle if they can find it.
Symptoms: Trouble sleeping at night so by mid afternoon I'm exhausted, spd pain and occasional trouble breathing as someone likes to hang out up high
Rants/AW/Appointments: next appt isn't till the end of the month and it will include the 1 hour glucose tolerance test.
GTKY: What baby-related item are you most excited to use when he/she finally arrives? We haven't bought anything new. I need to get on the move pulling everything out and getting it set up. I really want to purchase a kick and play piano and the sit me up seat.
Symptoms: constant slight heartburn- just enough to be annoying, trouble sleeping, have to pee all the time and my new one- swollen bleeding gums- yay!
Rants/AW/Appts: next appointment isn't until September 3, but I am going to do my glucose test on Tuesday this week. Nothing else really going on.
GTKY: everyone has had such great answers so far! It's tough to choose, but I think my stroller will be my favourite thing once LO gets here. Also, I'm looking forward to trying out the A+A swaddle blankets that everyone raves about. Oh! And I know my aunt is knitting up a storm for the little man including making a bunting, so I am super excited for that.
Symptoms: Nothing much at the moment, just a lot of movement. Oh, and I had coffee yesterday, and it seems as though my aversion to it has finally disappeared!
Rants/AW/Appointments: My next appointment is 9/4, although I'm hoping to change it because there's a meeting at my kids' preschool that I'd like to attend. Unfortunately, my availability is really limited, and so far they've got nothing for me at any of the times I'd like to go. I also haven't heard anything about the glucose test (which I did almost 2 weeks ago), so I'm hoping that means I passed and that the doctor will give me the results at my next appointment.
GTKY: What baby-related item are you most excited to use when he/she finally arrives? Our old swing was kind of dying by the time my youngest outgrew it, so I bought a new one from craigslist, and I'm excited to try it out. That plus a new boppy pillow are the only things I've gotten so far, and I'm not likely to get much else since we pretty much have everything we need already.
Symptoms: same stuff, plus Braxton hicks that hurt more than they did with DD, and I just started having a hard time breathing occasionally. Freaked me out at first because it felt like a panic attack starting, but I've been able to calm myself down now. It feels like I have to push this LO down sometimes just to be ok and there's still lots of growing to do.
Rants/AW/Appointments: last appt went well. I got the gd drink to chill and then drink sometime this week. The nurse told me casually about different options people have had before and apparently one is to drink a can of coke, but you have to do it in 5 minutes and the carbonation wrecks people. And they used to offer the jelly beans but it was 50 and by the end of 5 minutes people's jaws were so sore it wasn't worth it.
GTKY: I'm also excited to baby wear and didn't really do it with dd like I wanted to. I am also looking forward to pulling out dd's old clothes for this little one, along with new Jammies. Oh! And I have a nursing infinity scarf that I hope works well for us, but even if LO doesn't like it I'll still have a cute scarf.
Symptoms: lots of kicking, heartburn, and the newest addition, leaky boobs!
Rants/AW/Appointments: I have an appt with the endochronologist tomorrow to get the thyroid checked. An appt at my ob next Thursday, then on to every two weeks.
GTKY: What baby-related item are you most excited to use when he/she finally arrives? I can't wait to dress her up! I'm excited for it all!
Mama to sweet baby girl, Emerson Rose, born November 7th, 2014
Symptoms: Exhausted so easily. Probably at least partially due to the fact that I can't seem to sleep more than 2 or 3 hours at a time. I just had to tell the kids' bus driver that I can't walk down to the bus stop this year. Technically, I could walk down there, but there's no way I could stand and wait for any length of time. Especially in the Florida sun. Thankfully, since it's a special needs bus, they're supposed to come to the house anyway (I made a deal with her last year because all the streets past the first corner are dead ends and it's hard to turn around a full sized bus). She's so sweet she said it was no problem.
Rants/AW/Appointments: First day of school today! My little 2nd and 3rd graders are off and I am a little nervous. DS has a whole new cast of teachers and aides this year, so I hope he adjusts easily. I FB stalked his teacher last night. She really needs to change her privacy settings.
GTKY: What baby-related item are you most excited to use when he/she finally arrives? I am impatiently waiting for the consignment sales to start in about 2 weeks so I can look for a Moby. SIL said she would give me hers, but it wasn't with all the baby stuff she gave me a few weeks ago and I don't want to seem greedy by asking about it.

Miney 9/15/10 Mo 11/4/14 Wait, What?!? - EDD 11/1/19
Symptoms: Nothing too bad (luckily!), random pain spots (think she's hitting something painful) but they are rare
Rants/AW/Appointments: My husband wore me down and we are getting a 3D ultrasound on Tuesday! Excited to see her (even if I think they are a bit creepy)!!! Also consult with my endocrinologist on Tuesday to start my GD monitoring (finger pricking, booooo!) and on Thursday I have my third trimester check in with my hematologist.
Random AW: BRU had a 20% coupon yesterday so I ordered my travel system!!!! We also got the crib mattress at $20 off with another coupon...and spent tons of money on outfits and hair bows, cause...yeah.
GTKY: What baby-related item are you most excited to use when he/she finally arrives? I am really excited for all of it, but I think tummy time on the activity gym is what is exciting for me to think of right now!!!!!
Symptoms: Fatigue. We went on a trip this weekend and it wore me out physically and emotionally. I was way more mood-swingy than I'd like. I'm certainly starting to slow down a bit. It takes more energy than it used to just getting around. Other than that, still feeling pretty good.
Rants/AW/Appointments: Next appointment is Sept 4 and it should just be a quick one. After that I start going every 2 weeks. Woo!
GTKY: What baby-related item are you most excited to use when he/she finally arrives? I can't wait to put her in all of the sweet little clothes we have! The grandmothers have gotten her lots of clothes and they're adorable, but it hit me this week that we're going to have an adorable baby to put in those adorable clothes and the clothes got even cuter. We also picked out our glider this weekend, so I'm looking forward to lots of snuggles in that chair.
Weeks/EDD: 28 weeks - Third Trimester! / November 10
Symptoms: Baby kicking like crazy, just generally big and uncomfortable.
Rants/AW/Appointments: I sent a video of baby kicking to my in-laws and they hardly even responded. :P / I'm bored but don't physically feel like getting up and doing anything either. I can't believe I'm starting the 3rd Tri today! Wowee! I passed my glucose screening last Thurs. Yay! They said my iron was low though, so I've got to start taking iron supplements even though my prenatals have 167% the recommended amount of iron needed. I don't want to od on iron! Next appt is 9/5. Seeing a different doctor in the practice so I can meet them all before baby comes - just in case. I'm kinda really attached to my doctor, though.
GTKY: What baby-related item are you most excited to use when he/she finally arrives? My boobs. haha! I hope BFing goes well.
N14 November Siggy Challenge - Straight up Celebration!!!
Rants/AW/Appointments: I have my glucose test on Thursday morning and OB appointment after to administer Rhogam shot. I'm nervous because I seriously dislike needles in a big bad way.
GTKY: What baby-related item are you most excited to use when he/she finally arrives? I'm excited to sit and rock him or her in the big comfy glider we got for baby's room. I can't wait!
Passed my 1 hour glucose test. Thank God! Don't have another exam until 9/8. Which seems so far away. I asked my doc if it was normal to still have monthly exams this far into the game (because I have heard that this is around when you go to every two weeks) and he told me that I am fit as a fiddle and there's no reason to come in more unless I feel the need. Which I don't, because I hate doc offices. So yay for the break!
I am just excited to put him in the Oakland A's onesie I bought last week! It's for 9 mos though so it won't be for a while sadly
Symptoms: Backache, huge belly, achy feet, stuck in the couch.
Rants/AW/Appointments: 2 weeks from this Wednesday, I will have a dr. appointment, AND EVERY 2 WEEKS AFTER THAT!!! SQUEEEEEE!!!!
GTKY: What baby-related item are you most excited to use when he/she finally arrives? ALL THE THINGS! Really, if I had to pick one, I would say the stroller. I am sure once we get everything from the baby shower, I may get more excited about something else.

Go A's!
And with dd I started exams every 2 weeks after 32 weeks (so then saw dr at 34 and 36 weeks) and then every week after that. If your dr is fine with waiting to see you more then don't stress (which I can see you aren't). I guess what I really mean is don't let anyone else's frequency of visits make you feel stressed if everything is going well for you.
Symptoms: carpal tunnel in both hands/forearms, belching constantly (not full blown heartburn yet), trouble sleeping
Rants/AW/Appointments: Baby looked great at my US last week. I failed my GT last week, so I am scheduled to meet with a diabetic educator on Thursday (I am just thrilled about it). We have our 3D ultrasound scheduled for 8/30.
GTKY: What baby-related item are you most excited to use when he/she finally arrives? I can't wait to use the Rock N' Play. I have heard so many great things about it, and I am curious to see if it works as good as everyone says. We plan on using it for baby's bed for the first few weeks.
N14 October Siggy Challenge: How I Feel in the Third Trimester
Symptoms: Hard time sleeping, painting my toe nails is becoming painful and I have RL pain I believe. Its like a stretching feeling in the right side of my abdomen
Rants/AW/Appointments: Had my 1hr glucose test yesterday, made me so sick! I have a check up on Thursday so hopefully I will get good news about the results then.
GTKY: What baby-related item are you most excited to use when he/she finally arrives? A boppy! I haven't bought one yet but its on my list of things to get. We didn't have one last time but I learned about them here on TB and I think it will make BF'ing so much easier.
