I would say Ray-uh. I think of mythology, wife of Cronus and mother of the Olympians. In my myth courses it was always said Ray-uh.
Okay, this is fascinating. So in Greek mythology, it's ray-uh, but the moon (whose name is taken from Greek mythology) is ree-uh.
Mind. Blown.
I suppose I could have had a professor who was mispronouncing it. Who knows.
-----quote box fail----- In every Latin and Classics course I've been in (a lot), it's been Ray-uh, which I love. However, I hate Ree-uh, so it looks like Rhea is out as an option for us.
it's a good thing it takes so long for babies to gestate. We really need all the time to come up with a name we both like.

Eta: I think I've seen it pronounced this way as a middle name.
